So, this clocks in at 51 pages and 48 megs, uncompressed, making it my largest jump yet. I’ll be in thread for a while, so toss questions and critiques out there and I’ll answer them as best I can. There’ll probably be spelling errors and the like, so if you see those call those out too.

Thanks for being patient as I worked on it. Hope you have fun.

Yes, this is the anon who asked about Civil War a few days a go.

Neither because they are both shit.

So, asking this again because I didn't get an answer last thread:

Neither.

I go neutral route, depose the Nohrian king who caused the conflict, and work out a peace agreement between both factions due to the fact that there's a threat at the bottom of the chasm.

I'd go into detail but I have no immunity to instant-death-effects yet.

Second, when trying to buy pic related does she count as super-powered for Son of the Patriots?

>>47595357
Pic Related has a fine railgun sniper system hooked up to her wolf-mech, and I posted my own Sniper Wolf Zoid last thread.
My Sniper Wolf is capable of becoming invisible, has an advanced ECM system in place, and radar seems to slide off it, and that was how I got it to start out. Oh and it has a Charged Partial Cannon in its mouth so I could snipe with that hellish weapon.

All right, here it is. Finally typed up and ready for some basic reviews.

Zootopia Version 0.8.

Everything is pretty much in place, but a little rough. There will be some more fluff added to the beginning and I would like to know if the Race section makes sense as it stands.

Other than that, I'm going to have a shower and I will be back shortly to read through your reviews, concerns, corrections, and outcries of anti-furry hate

.>>47595357
My Junkplate Dragon is still my favorite. He's short, but long and a bit bulky. I built him out of enchanted swords, armor, and a bunch of spaceship parts on a drunken dare early on in the Chain. He's got basic AI and is really uncomfortable to sit on, but really intimidating to look at. I even managed to give him some Fire Breathing. He tends to melt his mouth shut if he uses it too much though. Design flaw.

>>47595440
They're really not much faster than your traditional vampires, but a decent bit stronger and with better regeneration. They ramp up pretty quickly with age and more souls though.
>>
>>47595458
Only a few. I usually end up being the only actually useful older character.
>>
>>47595440
Not the jumpmaker or an expert, but I'd guess…
Faster than human, but slower than bullets, seeing as how most vamps choose to use firearms in most situations, despite their supernatural power.
>>
>>47595484

okay so I absorbed in the young justice jump, and I have amazo backup data, and a companion or two with sting from worm so I got a bunch of knives, put them on floating balls that talk to each other in a manner not unlike Wi-Fi signals equipped them with a mechanical version of sting and speed force, and they are programmed to float in a vaguely conical manner cutting things in a direction of my choosing, I call it the bladenado. Altogether the units take up roughly the space of a normal size van but the radius in which they can spin relative to each other is expandable and number of units scales easily

Curing others of their pain makes me feel like I'm striving for the ideal that I loved so long ago, before the chain began to erode my naivety. I oft find myself getting charity cases like her and put them back together just to justify to myself...

"I'm still a good man, no matter the fact I have ventured to a desert and brought forth a sea of blood for the sake of my research. No matter that the stains are so deep they never wash away. No matter the fact that even magic can't stop the smell of the rot beneath my fingernails."
>>
>>47595611
4 had some genius moments in it, but when the game has 8 hours of cut-scenes, that's to be expected.

The theme of tech mimicking supernatural talents and making them obsolete was echoed throughout the game. Snake's suit made camouflaging skills obsolete, Laughing Octopus and her suit made Decoy Octopus's years of training and skill look like a parlor trick, Crying Wolf was Sniper Wolf but highly mobile, far better at tracking, and with the ability to fire a railgun instead of a sniper rifle, and Screaming Mantis was literally Psycho Mantis + The Sorrow in terms of powers.
Even the PMC's got in on the act, with nunnermachines making actual combat skill and team coordination obsolete, and with the Gekkos being the actual bridge between infantry and armor that was the dream back in MGS3. Raiden's ninja skills and body now put him on par with Vamp, who is a genetic freak of nature and who has half his superpowers due to super tech. And now tons of FROG soldiers have his powers too, because the tech became standard issue for them.
>>
>>47595696
No, they don’t add to your spells per day castable. They’re spells known, rather, for prepared arcane casters, ala Wizards. Someone asked for spellbooks, so I added them in. If it’s not clear that the books aren’t adding to how many you can cast per day I’ll make a note of that.
>>
>>47590714

You've probably been making jumps longer than I have, Digger. What sense does calling me Senpai make?
>>
>>47595786
I think he was wondering if you start off knowing spells if you are a wizard and don't buy any books.
>>
>>47595786
No, no. That's clear. I meant it as additional spells known.

...Which does seem rather obvious in reflection?
>>
>>47595781
Yeah, it's a fun theme. I have a friend who was really pissed about it though.
>>
>>47595829
>>47595831
Yes, those are additional spells known. I’m assuming that you’ve gathered spells commensurate with your experience level. This book would give you access to spells in addition to those.

>>47595781
So what you're saying is.

When everyone is super, no one will be.
>>
>>47595846
Time progresses, and the theme is really echoed through the entire series. In MGS2 they manage to recreate Snake in Raiden, and recreate Fortune's natural powers so well that she didn't even notice it. In MGS1 half the "powers" people had were minor genetic quirks enhanced with surgery or drugs and a shitton of training. Compare that to MGS3, where they have 50's popsci powers out of comic books, and it's either explicitly supernatural or the product of extreme surgery before this theme was ruined by MGSV.
>>
>>47595940
Haven't played MGSV. From what I've heard though and what we're talking about, it got ruined by MGSV making everything in its story the product of tech despite it predating Solid's games and so thus the powers should've been supernatural or predominately so?

@Anon who was doing the "One True Pirate King" thing from the previous thread.

Might want to look at Discworld, for the Heredity perk. Can pass on stuff like cyborg/magic/whatever to your children, even if passing that stuff on makes no sense. Works through people you adopt as well, as long as they're young enough.

>>
>>47595983
Everything is the result of Parasites. The reason it's so shit is because this is true retroactively; everything in MGS3 is Parasites as well. Parasites being used exactly like the nanomachines from MGS4, but a solid 40 years earlier. And when I mean exactly, I mean there's at least two people in the game who independently and deliberately modify these parasites to recreate and make new versions of them with altered abilities.

I don't really care about your agenda.

I'm just saying, originally the movie was going to have that as a thing. They decided not to go that route because test audiences wanted Nick to let society fall instead of helping to maintain it, because duh.
I'd be interested in seeing an option that lets you go to that world.
>>
>>47596254
I thought that was just a fan-comic made off an interesting theory. I didn't realize it was actually based on anything from the movie. I'll look into it and might add it.

>>47596319
It doesn't have anything to do with intelligence, just sheer numbers. In the movie Bellwether mentions that Zootopia is 90% prey, so it's not hard to see a situation that would have them ganging up on predators to take steps for public safety.

>>47596228
The bees are parasites because of pheromones, the eyes are parasites, the photosynthesis is parasites, the mad sniping skills are parasites, the FUCKING FURY BEING FUCKING FURIOUS is parasites for no goddamn reason. The Fear is hella surgery, and possibly parasites and/or prototype stealth camo. Volgin and The Sorrow are most likely all-supernatural, but that's only because ghosts and ESP being in the MGS series has been a thing for so long it'd be impossible to make them parasites.

Note that I said they most likely aren't parasites. Because the parasites can recreate their telekinesis, levitation, and invisibility powers, and Volgin's super durability, and much much more.

So Jumpers, you have a lot of perk given powers; but what powers have you made yourself that you can call your own?
>>
>>47596467
It's not directly mentioned in the movies, but the creators have been asked this a lot and have a pretty good answer for it.

Most predators have become at least partially omnivorous over the evolution process, as Clawhauser clearly shows. But they still have protein needs. Those are fulfilled by plant-based and insect-based proteins. There were also supposed to eat fish, but that was discarded early in the writing process because it confused the rules of the world too much.

There's even several items in the background that lends credit to this. Bug-burga is a "burger" joint. Boxes from the restaurant can be seen in the alley when Judy first questions Nick. The creator elaborated that predators could get grasshopper shakes, cricket chips, or a cicada burger.

So, sadly, I was not able to realize my dream of adding a fluffy moth waifu to my harem, but there it is.

Beyblade

13 years old
Metal Fight
Bey Control
Go Shoot!
Rise Above the Storm
Let's Beyblade
Blader's Spirit
Intensive Training 100
Beylin Arts 200
Legendary Blader 600
The Beyblade
Type Configuration - Attack
Special Attack
Element - Darkness
Specialized Performance Tip 650
Type Optimization 950
Replacement Parts Fund 1000

This took a lot longer than it should have to make a build. Reminds me of Yu Gi Oh in that they're both very silly and both jumps are almost entirely focused on the kids game the world centers around. Fun though.

Freebies are mostly about Beyblades. Let's Beyblade is my favourite one as it's sort of necessary to get something that lets you continue to use Beyblades in later universes without people going "was that a spinning top?"

The build was just the best I could do to make my Beyblade more powerful. Intensive Training lets you break down a steel door, I have no idea why it's 100 CP.

Chose Attack and Type Optimization as I figure I'm most likely to just continue to use this to occasionally knock shit down. Probably not going to be a lot of protracted Beyblade battles but I may want to use it to smash something from time to time.

Chose darkness as gravity powers are great and a gravity powered spinning top is just mental.

Probably going into this early as I can't imagine I'll get a lot of use out of a Beyblade otherwise. That being said I think I'm probably be going to be using Beyblading stuff as a staple move until I actually get a decent weapon.

So is it possible to succeed in the Dragonfly Effect as an early Jumper? Because on one hand, I love the fuck out of it, but on the other hand, you start six millennia before any of the other quests, so I'm scared.

Possible? Yes. It’s going to be very challenging, though. You’ll have a lot of ground to cover, and the various tasks you have to accomplish will are only made easy by having a variety of skills. However, it’s not impossible but it’s not likely. You’d have to play it very smart. Luck wouldn't hurt at all.

So, let's see what's changed, yes?

Location: Pax Tharkas
Era: The Dwarfgate War, 39 AC
Arcane [50] Magic!
Draconian - Vapor [150] Liiizzzard!
>perks:
Alignment Choice - Upgraded, "Chaotic Neutral" [100] This is just great. I'm whatever Alignment I say I am. And Detect spells will back me up every time.
Tall Enough - Intelligence [Free] I'm a smort guy.
Arcane Adept [Free] Magic.
Experienced Classes - Tower Trained [150] Celestial Magic
Experienced Classes - Hedgemage [150] My own blend of Magic?
Archmage of High Sorcery - Order of the Red Robes [300] I iz an Archmage?
Renegade Magecraft [300] Why, yes. Yes, I am. Magic!
Acolyte [Free, Vapor] But not just in the Arcane...
Experienced Classes - Mystic [Free, Vapor] Also in Divine!
>racial:
Incorporeal Undead [400] GHOOOOOOOOOSTS!
>items:
Starjewels [50] Fancy...
Spellbook [50] Every wizard should have a good Spellbook. This one has infinite blank pages, and will never weigh more than a normal one? Excellent. I have many, many grimoires to copy into this new Master Copy.
>drawbacks:
Ocular Angst [+100] I can deal with spoopy raistlin eyes, I'm pretty sure. Atleast my companions are ageless.
Dumpstat - Wisdom [+100] What am I saying? OF COURSE I CAN! Help. I don't need good decision making, do I?
Dumpstat - Strength [+100] Or physical strength. I'm a ghost after all.
Formlock [+100] LIZARD GHOOOSTS!
Pernicious Patronage [+300] Hm... I know nothing of these Gods. Which one would screw around with me?

(con't)
>>
>>47595357
My pride and joy as an engineer.
Impeller and gravity manipulation, plasma thrusters, pocket dimension storage space, enchanted Luminite armor.

Storage space contains a downsized Paragon and fabricators to create whatever weapons I want on the spot, and provide energy for the armor to function. This also means it could act as an ACU itself, if I wanted.
Weapons include (but are not limited to) phason lasers, disintegration beams, particle cannons, lightning field generators, nanite rockets, nuclear missiles, and quantum disruptors. In addition, it can use a mix of quantum locking, tractor beams, and 0-range TK to use weapons not directly attached, meaning it could fly around circled by oversized plasma casters.

It can take on most settings by itself.
>>
>>47596854
I almost had to give up having a Meltran waifu when the revision happened as I could not pass up the engineer perks.
But I managed to get just enough CP at the end to import the Choir as Meltrans.

Using a Meltran as a bed makes being a Living MacGuffin totally worth it.
Having several Meltrans fight over who gets to be the bed that night makes one question it.

So, I'm mostly just Lizarding around, bumbling into shit while other Mages either fawn over me or start hating me when I come around. Do random spoopy ghost lizard bullshit, just because I can.

Find a bard, and hire him to follow me around to sing about spoopy scary ghost lizards.

Maybe help out with this War. Maybe just steal whatever stuff is really valuable.
...Mostly that Dwarven Hammer I heard about. I imagine a good part of my time here is spend as the Enemy of Dwarves. Put on some Benny Hill music for ambience. Maybe are more haunting version.

Also, I'll try and forge a Dragon Rider bond with Arixen, my Red Dragon companion... that seems like a good project to try and figure out before this war starts. If it doesn't work, we'll just keep going as we are. Familiar-Bond is nice too.

And then, just a little more than three centuries after my arrival, the modules come into play...

>Scales in Balance - Starting in 340AC
Rewards: +300cp for items
Gully Dwarves Gem [100] I can't resist shiny gems.
Spellbook [200, discounted] But just one, mostly empty spellbook is never enough... is it?

Well, this is awkward. I'm the nice kind of Lizard GHOST, honest?

>11th: Our Hero - Starting in 351AC
Rewards: +200cp, Mounted Greater Dragonlance
Warmage [200] So, uh, do I just posses some armor or something?

Fightan' Time...

>40000 Things I Hate About You
Rewards: +400cp, Friends Like These
Artifactory [400] Imma build ALL the Crazy Magic Shit. This is going to be Great.

FOR CHAOS!

I'm... gonna need some time to think about how insane these module are going to be, before I can write out more...

I think I'll be going with Scales in Balance. It'll mess with old Paly's head, and help /actual/ children.

Ok so stuff moving along fine with the jump.

Thing is, ayy lmaos dont have much in the way of perks that wouldn't be covered by the Ayylmao builder thing.

I was thinking in limiting perks for D-I's and Hunters only, considering aliens have a lot of options.

Plus, I'm including a personal GANTZ sphere [without the guy inside] (500 no discounts) that is basically an armory that always has enough basic equiment for ten people. And a 300 upgrade that restores it's transfer and 100-point menu features even while out of universe.

Cloning/resurrection should stay disabled? Or should it be a Once-Per-Jump thing?

>Wait. Seismic shock guy got killed by robot too. By the damn third version. Okay. Yeah, this is Incredibles: pokedex edition really hard.

Nope and not necessarily, respectively.

Hypershock took out the X3, it was the X4 - the sequel redesigned with beating him in mind - that killed him.

The threat ratings are definitely biased by either offensive powers or indestructability; note that most heroes don't have much of the latter - i.e. they are glass cannons - and Hypershock's powers worked only on solid materials via physical contact. From the files, it looks suspiciously like the X4 might be the version that got the ability to shoot its grappling claws; if I was a combat AI, I'd just jump into the air for the few seconds required to precisely launch Sharp Metal Thing X through Soft Fleshy Thing Y.

Also, folks debating whether the Omnidroids had adaptive AI - yes, they did, but it started off quite primitive and was focused on combat. Syndrome did the actual engineering/redesign work on each new version, using data collected during the fights.

Here's a half-hour Extras vid with “NSA interviews" of various heroes, including Hypershock: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d73WtJlko9E

Big O

25 years old
Underground
Paradigm Lap Dog 100
Style 200
Mega Deus Training 400
Memories
Assets 700
Big Fau 1100
QUALITY! 1000

Don't know the setting, rolling underground for location seems like a bad thing.

Took Paradigm Lap Dog as I liked the Assets perk. Tend to choose a lot of 'your minions are fanatical' perks. Don't usually have any minions but when I do I want them as fanatical as possible.

Also chose Style because it's about snappy one liners and creative problem solving. Mostly in it for the snappy one liners.

Mega Deus Training was as I was getting a big robot and it seemed like a good get.

Got Big Fau as I got the discount and also apparently it's pretty big. Not a fan of the long head so I'm probably going to modify it to give it a seagull or shark head or something. Maybe paint it as well. Still, a giant amphibious shieldy mech could come in handy. Seems like it should be relatively easy to make a large powerful mech fast as well with tech from other places.

QUALITY! basically serves to make the whole thing feel like a weird dream where proportions change all the time.

Part of me thinks it would be simpler to do one res per jump (which can't be the jumper).

Part of me wants to stick closer to the source material - unlimited res for anyone not the jumper, but they have to be paid for in Gantz points and earned the usual way - by going out and killing aliens.
I suppose that way ends up with more wanking as to how many points everyone has.

Where do you think it went? Because it definitely went up, and then came back down some time later. Was it just hanging out in the upper atmosphere suspended from a balloon, or something?

>>47599083
If that's true, why didn't the Soviets reveal it was faked decades ago?

Alright I give up. What are some items you all would like to see in the new Star Wars jump? So far I have;
>Signature Outfit [Free]:
>Slave Outfit [Free]:
>Credits []: (5000?)
>Voice Scrambler []:
>Comlink []:
>Datapad []:
>Datacard []:
>Stun Blaster []:
>Blaster Pistol []:
>Blaster Rifle []:
>Flamethrower []:
>Bowcaster []:
>Lightsaber []:
>Mandalorian Armor []:
>Jetpack []:
I'm likely going to expand on these by adding some of the weapons from Battlefront 2 and Jedi Knight/Academy And before you ask I already have the starship options covered.

Obviously an empty decoy was sent up and later retrieved, while the "astronauts" were prepped in a secret high-altitude Hollywood studio thanks to technological secrets gleamed from the Zeta Reticulians. Wake up, anon.

So we sent two spaceships into orbit, one with the decoy and the other to retrieve it, and used alien technology to fake the moon landing rather then using said alien technology in the space program.

Meanwhile the soviets conspire with the us government, their best buddies apparently, to fabricate the race to the moon after spending hundreds of millions of dollars to get there before the US. And yet in the age of Snowden and hackers this information has not been revealed to us.

Oh Anon, you are just adorable!

So I skipped on it as I had the former and didn't need the latter. Might just be missing something but eh.

Alright /jc/, I'm building a destroyer spaceship and I'm wondering how to make it the best.

The broad systems I'm thinking about are
FTL
Weapons
Shields
Power plant
Sublight Propuslion
Sensors

I was thinking Macross Fold for FTL
Star Trek Antiproton cannons and beam array/Star Trek micro quantum warheads mounted on Macorss missiles for point defense and antifighter/Macross MDE for anti ship for the weapons
40K Void Shields
Star Trek Antimatter for power plant
Star Trek Impulse for sublight
Star Trek sensors

>>
>>47599795
Make sure you visit FTL. There's a /lot/ of spaceship stuff there just begging to be added to any decent spaceship.

I mean, come on, Drone Control Systems, auto-healing medic bay. Even better, most of the systems can operate without someone at the controls. Admittedly, they work better with butts in the chair, but you never know when you'll have to repel boarders.

And the Zoltan shield? Admittedly not 40K Void Shields, but still nice and pretty low power for the use you get out of them.
>>
>>47595355
I have a couple questions.

First for war of three masters do we have to kill Raistlin to save ourselves is it possible to reason with him?
Second what happens if you take The war of three masters and 11th our hero? or for that matter took Damned as a drawback since you are not the gods favorite person.
>>
>>47599795
Powerplant: I'd go with the Zero-Point module from Stargate, a 2 foot crystal based battery containing an artificially created pocket of subspace-time. Lasts tens of thousands of years, 3 of them maintained a shield to protect Ancient city of Atlantis thousands of feet underwater for 3000 years.
>>
>>47599795
A few thoughts:

Firstly, remember that the Fold Quartz you're using in the MDE weapons can also be used to boost the output of your reactors, should give you a big increase in usable power.

Secondly, Mass Effect has some really nice goodies. Mass effect fields can increase maneuverability a lot, the Thanix Cannons would add some kinetic punch to your weapons array, and given that the Normandy does space stealth the hard way their cooling tech must be godlike.

Thirdly, consider adding a carrier complement. Drones and fighters are always welcome. Possibly some GN tech mobile armors or mobile suits? You're visiting Macross anyway, you could get the design for the Ghosts and change out their power plant, should serve you very well.

Finally, for sensors you really can't beat tech taken from a space-based 4X game. And while we don't have any jumps of those, yet, Endless Legend takes place in the same universe as Endless Space. So you might want to leave Auriga while you're there and see if you can steal some good sensor tech from the various races.
>>
>>47599795
Hmmm, you'll want some Blame/Biomega tech most likely. Things like the Insanity Lens are interesting, as they can provide plasma and can act as generators.

Though one thing you'll really want is the Reverse Phase Image Polymer from Biomega and those "Megastructure" perks from both Blame and Bionega, so you can scale this huge spaceship up and have all of its systems go to scale as well.

Oh, you finished this. Excellent. I have fond memories of this game, visiting it will be fun.
>>
>>47599898
Well, I was thinking about using the AI I got from Halo for managing most of the systems. All hooked together most of that would become automated anyway, even the med bay as towards the end of the TNG jump the EMH would be developed. Also I don't want to put too much emphasis on automated defense, as then its only one hack away from being lost.

I'm not wasting my time with external drones, there's going to be a small hanger that can store a few upgraded Macross VFs and vehicles.

>>47600083
I just need to get the tech to make them from the Asguard

>>47600110
Now that you mention it, getting fold quartz after Macross is going to be an issue. I've got some Biochem perks and am infected the V-type virus, it's just going to be a bit of pain in the ass to make them.

You've got a point about the Mass Effect fields and cooling tech. I actually like AES stealth too, as a concept.

>Consider adding a carrier complement.
Fighting is a last resort anon
Only if the power of our voice doesn't melt their hearts and sooth their soul.
If you roll Frontier you'd still be around for Delta too, and I really like the look of the new VF 31s.

There's no real indication of that in canon. There's plenty of weirdly placed (The Copy fruit somehow not being a Legendary tier, fire being on the same tier as magma despite being canonically weaker and so on) or partially OC fruits (Sketch sketch improving with skill, the shadow fruit manipulating normal shadows instead of just the user's and other living beings)
>>
>>47600848
That is possible but either way your creations will be hard countered by water, if they get wet they will dissolve.

>>
>>47600735
Kamen Rider is both survivable and good for perks/items, though I recommend: getting the Kamen Ridrr Black origin and capstone, either grab your brother's king stone or duplicate it with that one Minecraft perk, and than grab Hamon. Your strength and speed will be incredible in your base form, and insane in your Bio Rider form.
>>
>>47600735
Super Smash Brothers, gives you a really good foundation for combat with very little risk of dying

Zootopia
> Age: 26 [Rolled10] (2/8)
> Species: Leopard Cat
> Background: Government Job [-100CP]
> Slick [-100CP]
> Under-Appreciated Lackey [Get a Freebie!]
> Political Face [-100CP]
> Master Plan [-200CP]
> Green Energy [-300CP]
> Pawpsicles [-50CP]
> Doughnuts [-50CP]
> DVD Collection [-100CP]

Reminder that Leopard Cats (it's like A Pimp Named Slickback, you have to say the whole thing) are actually quite small.

I considered taking the Corrupt Police Force drawback, and if I did, my plan would probably involve replacing the entire police force with robots and laughing at anyone who tries to stop me.
But I didn't, because it would probably make that dumb bunny sad.

Or maybe I'll go back and redo this later and do it anyway. Maybe I'll become mayor and make the entire city into a shiny cyberpunk u/dystopia like in Pinocchio 3000 except not complete shit.
Or maybe I'll take Interspecies Uproar and campaign for equal rights and forbidden love.
I don't know. This feels like a story I'll have to think on more, and right now I'm tired.

But this part of the build won't change. This right here, this is like the "core" of the build, and any alterations will be addons later. I'll probably work in government because why not. Maybe I'll have a side business.
Green Energy will synergize well with all my green tech perks. ESPECIALLY from Tropico.

I am totally gonna abuse Princess Bride's Adaptanator and make Zootopia versions of E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.
I am not sorry.

I think that's because we don't know enough about the setting to say if it's safe or not. Remember Albedo's little sister, who is supposedly the strongest being in the setting and her weapon against the other Supreme Beings? That, and a lot of other unknown factors makes it a little too early to call it easy to survive.
