>>47127666
Eager for the Kingkiller jump, accepting that you probably have shit to do beforehand.
>>
This one, it's got an edition and the actual PDF.

Jumpers, have you ever created a race?
>>
Hi, newfag here, is there a log horizon Jumpchain?
>>
>>47127641
Be that as it may, isn't the Emperor on roughly the same level as a Chaos God? Can he bust galaxies with his Psyker powers?
>>
>>47127748
No but that might be a good idea.
>>
>>47127748
Nope, not a finished one at least.
>>
>>47127729
No, but does breeding Juugo's clan's ability into the Senju count?
>>
>>47127756
Big E could be the 5th Chaos God. The God of Order. Which is of course a paradox, but hey Chaos is Chaos. Paradoxes are just accepted.

However he's not, so it's hard to say really. He did destroy Horus' soul, and caused the four Chaos Gods to withdraw their protection from Horus. If they didn't the psychic backlash would've destroyed them too.

I´m starting with FateZero Jump, any recomendation? i wanna cuck kiritsugu and kill zouken
>>
Hey Elona, feel free to get rid of that stuff you were going to add into Genius: the Transgression. Especially if it's making the Jump take longer. A lot of that campaign was based on unfairness anyway.
>>
>>47127808
I'd take smaller bites. Get some abilities elsewhere first, and THEN wreck their shit.

Not only because it's more plausible, but the slower your ramp up to absolute power, the more fun the chain will be.
>>
>>47127836
That sounds better, any good place to start?

For your own sake, try No Game No Life first. Seriously, don't make Fate or any TypeMoon Franchise your first jump.

Also:
>cucking the Magus Killer
>>
>>47127808
> i wanna cuck
Well, you're probably gonna want to pick up some charisma and/or harem perks first.
Actual attractiveness is, of course, optional. But you're gonna want the emotional pull to sway people away from their canon love interests.
>>
What perks are good for messing with the cast of jumps, via puns and/or antics? I suppose "trolling" is an accurate jump, but really I just want to harmlessly(for the most part) screw with them.
>>
>>47127886
...trolling is an accurate term, not jump. Damn it, me.
>>
>>47127853
I like The Sims 3, but Vampire: the Masquerade might be a more exciting affair. Both are imaged. X-Men is really fucking generous with powers if you're willing to cut corners on the actual skills. Both Avatars are good stepping stones if you're willing to, again, cut corners on regular stuff to get Bending Genius.

>inb4 Light of Terra suggestion
>>
>>47127808
Tip one, you need to be more than one jump in before thinking about cucking a major powerhouse if you don't want to die.

Tip two, get some charisma perks to help out before you try to seduce a cannon character, their canon relationship may or may not have plot armor.
>>
>>47127886
Simply having a few jumps under your belt should be enough to do that but specifically Once Upon a Time has magic that acts like minor reality manipulation for 600.
>>
>>47127886
Comedy jumps are a good way to mess with your companions. Nichijou especially.
>>
>>47127865
Yeah, it sounds better in my head... kinda
>>47127877
>>47127898
i just wanna see Kerry suffer like a bitch... where i could get that "charisma" thingy?
>>47127896

To be fair, he cheats on his wife. On the other hand I don't think she cared, and he didn't enjoy it. Not entirely related, Iri and Saber(when wearing a suit) look good together.
>>
NinjaAnon if you are here I have qestion. Do Thorn form Tower of God work on other sources of power then Shinsoo?
>>
>>47127941
He answered that last thread, >>47127214
>>
Is it possible to become the Dark One in Once Upon a Time and continue your chain, or is that a chain ender?
>>
>>47127915
Try any jump based on a harem anime, Rosario + Vampire would be good. I also suggest that you get the perk from the Dodgeball jump that expands the tastes of anyone you are attracted to so that you are included in them. as far as actual charisma there are countless jumps with good perks for that but the Sitcom jump has one of the best if you are just aiming for seduction.
>>
>>47127725
Yeah, I've been indulging my normie tendencies. Well, that and working. And visiting people in the hospital. And buying new furniture, because of that fucking fire.
I've mostly just got fluff to do now. I might even have some time to work on it tomorrow. Maybe.
>>47127929

>>47127941

>>
>>47127981

>>
>>47127756
Well, he's currently stuck spending most of his power/attention on keeping a permanent warp rift under his Throne Magnus made closed, keeping the Astronomicon running, running the Emperor's Tarot, Soulbinding Astropaths, Sanctioning Psykers, granting various Faith powers and Sainthoods, keeping the Dark Gods from ruining everything too much, and various other Emperor duties. Oh, and coping with the constant agony and the dying and such.
He still makes time to do things like wipe out Vandire's fleet with the Storm of the Emperor's Wrath, though, a Warp Rift that engulfed an entire system and has lasted millenia.

Yea Kerry cheats on his wife with his assistant Maiya, because the grail war will kill his wife, and he wants practice in betraying her. Which is stupid, but so is Kerry.

>I like The Sims 3
Sims 3 is insanely good; not in a conquer the world sort of way but in a make some of the hell holes you are going to visit tolerable sort of way. I would recommend it for early in anyone's chain

>>47127853

It may be a bit rough but I am going to suggest Young Justice as it gives you a decent amount of power and has a comparably low mortality rate. the mystic perk tree in particular can be good for surviving against mages.
>>
>>47127929
This kinda shit is why I avoid Type Moon. Or anything else with porn and an attempt at a 'serious' plot. It always, always involves some NTR shit because of cheap drama.
>>
>>47128152
The YJ mortality rate can be shut down pretty hard if you convince Miss Martian to scan Red Arrow for hypnotic commands before he can betray the League
>>
>>47128080
I'm preeeetty sure that was a one-sided crush from Maiya's side.
>>
>>47127808
You're disgusting. Please take off your name.
>>
>>47128194
The wiki says it and sources it.
>Fate/Zero material - Encyclopedia: Hisau Maiya [Person's name], p.102-103
>Maiya Hisau [Person's name]
>Assistant of Kiritsugu Emiya. Mistress - it is the word whether to define on her.
Because she spent her childhood in an environment deprived of humanity, Maiya, who lacks a sense of self, considers that her entire being belongs to Kiritsugu Emiya. Asking whether she loves Kiritsugu is like asking whether the innards love the brain. The question itself is meaningless.
>Also, to Kiritsugu, allowing his wife to sacrifice herself and complete the Grail is a betrayal towards her love, no matter what others say. However, it is necessary that he does not hesitate in this betrayal. To Kiritsugu, his sexual relationship with Maiya is a rehearsal before this betrayal, a form of self-abuse to steel his nerves while walking down this path. This is probably the sorriest excuse to have an affair, but Maiya treasured every second of it. It is essentially a negative spiral downward without an end.

you know someone needs to just take Therapy no Jutsu from Naruto and the martial arts skills from Gundam Future Century to all the type moon jumps and just beat the screwed up out of people there. Then again really there are other places *cough* Evangelion*cough* that need that service more.
>>
>>47128343
Eva has people who deserve to be saved. Type Moon doesn't. Only people that need to die.
>>
>>47128364
Exterminatus?
>>
>>47128364
Shirou is a good person, Kiritsugu could have been a good person but got screwed over by the world. If he were just a monster his actions actually would have been easier to take. He is a man who tortures himself doing monstrous things because he can't live with a accident he had no right taking responsibility for. His reaction to his little girlfriend becoming an out of control Dead Apostle was the normal one.
>>
>>47128390
I don't really do that. Too many innocent civilians when the series lays out perfectly well who needs to lose a head, quick and clean.

>>47128412
Bullshit. All of it is his own choice and his own fault. Everything else is an excuse.
>>
>>47128390
A massive exaggeration, and most of the world is comprised of civilians anyway. This is not one of the few planets that could merit such an option.
>>
>>47128390
use Cetra power (FF7) and become Type-Earth, fuck Counter Force
>>
>>47128390
Nah, you really don't want to nuke things from orbit in Type-Moon, because that requires you to go into orbit, and space is a terrifying place there. The laws of physics are a local phenomenon in Type-Moon, what we think is out there in space is just an illusion produced by Gaia's grand Reality Marble. Maybe close orbits would be caught within the physics bubble and protected, but go too far out and it gets scary. The Apollo astronauts must have been fucking demigods to survive that.
>>

Thanks, i guess? i said i was new...

I need kinda hard-mode Jump suggestions, you know, Jumps in unfriendly places, with crazy requirements or options. Like Worm's drawback to become Taylor's Shard, that kinda thing.

I've reached a point in my jumps that stressful jumps are a must now. The series of jumps is ending with FF13-2 where I'm helping Lightning take on Caius.

There are ways to wipe out life in a setting that don't involve an exterminatus, I think I might try one here.
>>
>>47128275
Generally it's also acceptable if you're actually running a chain in thread. Quite a few of the names started off that way and made stuff later.
>>
>>47128473
Eh the problem with Fate/Zero is it really focused on the wrong main character. Iksander and Waver were the real stars of the first season. Hanging out with Iksander might be worth enduring Fate/zero.

Define "created" and "race". It's much more common for us to recalibrate another race into a suitable format. Creating life just for the sake of it? That's pretty reckless for us to do these days; from the spintered shards of our Grace made manifest upon the world to the planet-smothering Ira, most of the things we create are extensions of ourself given limited agency.

But yes, although a lot of it was early on in our career.

The crocodogs/sharkdogs designed mainly as an experiment.

The Super Hamon Tribe, jointly created by us and the Emperor in a bid to make Primarchs even buffer. Couldn't seem to splice out the tendency to pose ominously.

The Tribe of Intellect, sentient spells refined from our own being. Just to take care of empty worlds while minimising their metaphysical footprint there.

The Cabbit-Reapers, back when our greatest starfaring ships were primarly matter-based; damn things kept chasing after moons like actual cats and balls of yarn. They've long since been phased out, but the damage is done.

And uh...also that little accident with Elune. And that other one, with Brigid. And-

-maybe we should just stop talking. Yep. That's a good idea.

>>47128809
You seem to have glossed over what being a "local from the new world" actually entails. The solely class-based backgrounds would make sense for the player origin, but for locals there's nothing to tell about who you are in the new world; are you a villager or a member of the Six Scriptures or a mercenary or one of the many lords squabbling for power? Credit where it's due you've certainly explained what the magic does and is capable of fairly well, I just wish there was more flavour to the Local origin really; perhaps a similar discounted selection of stations in various factions similar to what the players have in Race options?

Also, can you just theoretically overcharge spells indefinitely with Abyss of Magic or is there some sort of softcap?
>>
Considering the sheer breadth of options presented (or at least suggested) in YGGDRASIL I kind of had to take a broad approach to how exactly races and class options work. Rather than get bogged down in minutae I figured it would be better to let the people using the jump determine how their abilities work by giving a general guideline in what the various abilities can actually do.

Additionally instead of stating out a bunch of different classes I just made a 'class skills' perk for each origin, each of which has three options, so that you could have a theme without needing to be too specific about it.
>>
>>47128899
Well, as I've said above I don't like this approach personally but I can see your reasoning for why you'd go for it given it is an LN and all. I just think Locals should get a discounted selection of backgrounds in the new world to distinguish them from players somewhat; as it reads currently all locals are hobos with no real connection to anything in the world, and thus indistinguishable from players.
>>
>>47128899
Certainly better than your Trainwreck of an Exalted jump.
>>
>>47128916
Wait. Wait, how d'you know it's the same guy? You sure about this?

When it's said that Slimes are "next to impossible to hurt with physical attacks", is that in the context of typical medieval infantry weaponry? E.g. what would happen to a Slime person if they got hit by a catapult boulder? Splat, or splat-and-reform?
>>
>>47128899
>>47128809
Actually, wait-

>Finally, at the end, a special consideration. If you purchased ‘The 42nd Supreme Being’ then you may, at your discretion, return to Nazarick for six months at the end of every jump, or once every ten years if you have ended your journey without gaining your Spark, using your Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown. It will be as if time has not passed at all in your absence, and you’ll be able to pick up exactly where you left off. If you purchased the Rival Guild drawback and haven’t finished them off during the ten years of the jump they will still be present on return trips, so you’ll probably want to prioritize getting rid of them. That said, have fun!

I know what you probably based this off but-no. SoL was made in a different time when the boundary between CYOA and jump was a lot thinner, and there's no justifiable reason to hand out a free mini-return for a setting here without even the meanest semblance of-

>>47128933
-FUCK.

Well, that's enough time wasted giving feedback then.
>>
>>47127808
Fate/Zero is already under the Fate/Jumpchain jump so why make a Fate/Zero jump?
>>
>>47128898

On the issue of Locals, I suppose it's true that I didn't lay out any specific backgrounds or options. I was kind of thinking that, considering how powerful locals would be (automatic realm of heroes, that's easily 'black scripture' strength right there) they could realistically choose to just be part of any of the local factions (so long as their race was compatible) since they'd be so strong virtually no one would turn them away. Doubly so if they bought level 100 since they'd be so strong the factions couldn't get rid of them even if they wanted to.

Really I was hoping to make a lot of the options sorts of free-form in that the jumper could determine what exactly they were doing, which is why the location rolls has more than a few plot-hooks in it. I suppose I could go back in and add something explicit about locals being able to choose a race compatible faction to belong to?

As for Abyss of Magic, again I was aiming for free form with that. If a person believes they can super-overcharge their magic to ungodly heights then they can, if they think there's limits or caveats then there are. I suppose if people want something more concrete than that I'd be willing to put something more specific limitations or wording but I'm kind of hoping it won't be needed. You know, jump responsibly and all that. If people want to power grab there are certainly more than enough jumps to do it in after all.

This jump doesn't seem nearly as bad but-come on, did you even READ the Exalted jump? If he's one of the reasonable ones I dread to think what the unreasonable ones are like.
>>
>>47128916

I'm aware it has problems, which is why I haven't actually posted it here since I'm aware it needs significant work. Considering how much of a chore it is going through all the Exalted books and related materials it's slow going getting it into acceptable shape. Which is why it's clearly marked as WIP for anyone that sees the google doc form its currently in.

As for me being the guy that made/is working on the Exalted jump, yes, I am 'that guy'.
>>
>>47128987
Sorry to say your drivel already got rejected. One of the actually competent jumpmakers is working on a full one with perks for individual Exaltations and lacking a lot of the stupid bits like infinite alchemical exalts and breaking the Great Curse for CP. And an actual Essence cap at 5 so you're not getting infinite perfect reality warping with some time invested.
>>
>>47128987
Well, you're a little late. Someone on our own end's already working on his own Exalted jump.

>>
>>47128809
I had a rough idea for a build when I first saw this a couple days ago, so I'm going to post it to get the ball rolling.

Origin: Local Drop-In (Ahehe)
Race: Human (Bit boring)
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Location: Carne Village (I should probably learn about the series)

Perks:
Themed Aesthetics: Free
Shared Language: Free
Identify Talents: Free with Origin
Use Any Magic Item: Free with Race
The Realm of Heroes: Free with Origin (Hahahaha!)
Level 100: 600 (MWAHAHAHA!)
Class Skills - Sorcerous Swordsman: Free (Yeah man! Paladin Time!)
Skillfull AND Resourceful: 100
Skillful Acquisitions: 200
Unified Forces: 300

Items:
Gold Coins: Free
Divine Tier Equipment: Free (Discounted and with section points spent on it!)

Companions:
A Local Hero: Free (He's a straight fighter)

Drawbacks: 200
Powerless: 100 (Since this doesn't take into account other jumps this is obligatory)
Foreigner: 100 (Eh, I'll come up with a lore reason)

Basically, I'm the tutorial NPC. Well, the guy who made the jump said I could fanwank myself as being that, and since I see it as totally hilarious that's what I'm going to do. Totally going to blow some people's minds.
>>
>>47128936

They'd go splat and then reform. It would hurt them, but they've got an absurdly high threshold for physical damage. In light-novel canon Solution got stabbed in the face (literally) and it didn't even hurt her. Additionally the higher your 'level' the harder you are to hurt, so you'll have increased physical resilience the stronger you are. Though, to be fair, that's the same for everyone. Slimes are just really particularly good at the physical defense side of it.
>>
>>47129010

Antagonistic much? This is literally the first time I've posted anything to /jc/. You guys wonder why there's such bad relations between here and SB, do you think perhaps your instantly scathing responses might have something to do with it? Additionally, what exactly does the Exalted jump, that I have already admitted is flawed and still WIP, have to do with the Overlord jump which I am asking for commentary on?

The answer, of course, is nothing. Please be constructive.

>>
>>47128809
I'm only 13 pages in but have a few notes

For the Angle race you stated their immunity to poison and disease twice. Nothing big just a little redundancy

The 42nd Supreme Being perk really should be a Founding Member origin as it greatly alters your starting memories and has a massive effect on the way the plot of the jump could progress. The Price is fair I think but maybe give a free selection (and/or restrict jumpers to) Demi-Human or Hetermorphic races since the guild was made up of non human players.

Most people have said it's too soon to do Overlord justice as a jump, but its well written and I'm liking it so far.
>>
>>47129059
It has to do with establishing your credentials and informing you that your other crap has been flushed. I don't feel like getting an SB account to be yelled at for this Affairs of Other Boards bullcrap so I'm telling you here.
>>
>>47129076
No it doesn't. It has to do with your 'SB-ers have COOTIES!' syndrome. But I digress.

>>47129059
I like the jump apart from few minor flaws like >>47129068 pointed out.

Oh, and Babs is the collective waifu of both this place and the IRC, responsible for such 'masterpieces' as the Babylon 5 jump and the Light of Terra jump.
>>
>>47129068

It would seem I did indeed put in the poison/disease immunity twice in Angel, I'll correct that in the doc in a bit.

As for the 42nd supreme being perk, if you want to be a founding member be my guest. The whole 'last member of Ainz Ooal Gown' is more metaphorical than literal. As for there being restrictions on it there are, they're underlined towards the end of the perk where it says that only heteromoprhic races can take the perk. No demi-humans though, only heteromorphic. They were pretty clear about that in the light novels, they're not the same thing. Regardless thank you for your comments, I'll fix the wording in the angels description in a moment.

>>47128507
The Storm Hawks jump has a drawback called Shipper on Deck where you have to make two female characters get into a relationship without using any of your powers/bonuses or you fail the chain. Not really a "kill this thing against impossible odds" kinda challenge but it could be a nice change of pace. One is the leader of the evil empire and the other is a mercenary/freedom fighter so there is a bit physical danger as well.
>>
>>47129093
You'd be surprised at how many and how badly he is disliked by some people. Definitely still waifu for the majority, but he does get the shit he deserves from some people.

>>
>>47128809
Jump... actually looks pretty darn good. Kudos.

As a drop-in jumper, any chance of the spoilered part in the Realm Of Heroes perk quoted below getting... dropped? Kinda defeats the point of avoiding getting your mind messed with, otherwise (yes, as a drop-in I'll happily give up the luck boost to not get my wits/cunning/skill altered, and yes, inb4 "but it's an improvement", thanks but no).

>If you are a Drop-In your luck, wit, cunning, and skill are so profound that you have an answer for virtually every situation, and while your combat prowess won’t be as great as a warrior of the same level, and your magic won’t be as good as a magic caster of the same level, you’ll far outstrip anyone that isn’t in the realm of heroes in those abilities.

An opinion you've apparently formed out of thin air, considering this is the first time I've ever posted here and am asking for commentary on Overlord, not Exalted. Which i've already flat out said twice now that it is flawed and still WIP. How about instead of these pointless inflammatory comments you actually provide some useful feedback?
>>
>>47129109
And so you're going to go on attacking the maker. Look, anon. He posted a jump for you to pick apart. Do it or don't, just don't go on whining about ancient history. No one likes it.
>>
>>47129125
Oh look, there you go putting words in my mouth again. Whoever could have predicted. When did I ever refer to the SB incident or make any sort of inference that I wasn't talking about the thread and IRC as the post I was responding to was? Go on, do your worst.
>>
>>47129037
Cool. Maybe that should be indicated in the description then? Being able to reform from getting splatted is pretty darn impressive. I'm tempted to say bump it to 400 to line up with the skeleton and zombie 'races'.
>>
>>47129123
You know you could just interprate it differently.
>>
>>47129123

Could you be more specific with what your concern is? That phrasing was supposed to be more descriptive than literal, though perhaps it didn't read that way? The general idea is that the Drop-In is the 'red mage' to the Warriors 'fighter' and the Magic Casters .. well, magic caster.>>47129125
Perhaps you could explain what that has to do with commentary on the Overlord jump? I'm not a mod on SB, I literally don't even know who you are talking about and have never discussed anything with them at any point, and regardless it has nothing to do with the discussion at hand.
>>
>>47128809
Awesome! I've been looking forward to an Overlord jump for a while now, and you did a great job.
There's tons of CP-heavy perks, so choosing will be very hard, but I guess that can't be helped.

One request though. Can you add arachnoids as a heteromorphic race? I want my precious Entoma companion.
>>
>>47129132
Anime's good. Plot feels like it ambles all over the place without any overreaching arc, but the character interactions are cute.

>>47129143
I see you don't understand how burden of proof works. You were the one who claimed B5 did anything "deserving" of taking flack and now you're childishly deflecting. If you're so pathetic you need to resort to pedantry you shouldn't have posted in the first place.
>>
>>47129156
Some people are really big on interpreting perks word for word. Don't agree with it personally but it is a thing.
>>
>>47129125
Funny, because he wasn't. I looked it up when the matter came up the first time. The mod wanted to make a jump on the Legacy or whatever thing it is that expands the B5 canon. Merchant had had an argument with him before that, about what Merchant, as the supreme God of jumpchain and husbando of Jumpchan herself, would allow SB jumpers to do in their own chains. The mod ignored him, and so Merchant whined here. B5 went all huff and puff 'get away from my turf 4eva or I'll flounce off'. Mod said 'flounce off'. B5 flunced off but came crawling back in abfew days.
>>
>>47129133
I'm mostly just establishing that you can cease work on it, since the current version would need to be burned to the ground and someone else the thread actually cared about and had communications with at the time besides a select few channels is working on a better version. If you can't take a bit of swearing you're going to have issues here. The other anons are admittedly just inflammatory assholes though. Dragging in past drama with an idiot unconnected to you was completely stupid and unnecessary.
>>
>>47129133
While you're still here can you address some actually valid concerns? Like nixing the end reward that lets you return to Overlord. Really no need for that.

>>47129172
>the supreme God of jumpchian and husbando of Jumpchan herself

Dude...I'm not even involved in that argument but.

Please, read your own post.

Do you not realise how salty you sound?

Are you not aware of how unbelievably made up that whole spiel comes across as?
>>
>>47129155

Do people in general agree that slime should be bumped up to 400CP? The physical defense boost is nice but I'm not sure they've really got much more than that going for them to justify the increased cost, anyone else want to weigh in?

>>47129159

Maybe in the future. I wasn't able to include several races because there simply isn't enough information about them to make a solid race entry. Especially when you consider that even classics like 'vampires' are actually really different in YGGDRASIL from how they are normally portrayed. For that reason I didn't want to include race options that I didn't know a lot about, since there is a strong chance that they would be invalidated as new light novel chapters are released.
>>47129168
They're probably going to have big problems with this jump then, since the whole 'class skills' perk kind of requires people to use interpretation rather than exact wording.
>>
>>47129172
You do realize that A) the mod was openly trying to make a jump to cover stuff he wanted in B5 and was using Crusade as an excuse, B) Merchant initially just came disgruntledly asking for someone else to explain to the Mod why he was doing stupid shit, C) Making shit in precisely the same setting ten years after the start of the last jump is skeezy as hell and the sort of thing that would actually require go ahead from the initial creator, and D) There were undisclosed PMs apparently involving the SB coalition of Adarx and Mega declaring they would be starting their own drive and gave no shits about formalities or this thread in general.
>>
Don't worry, >>47129143.

>>47129191

>>
>>47129199
You have those PMs? And hell, even if you do, the problem with that is...?
>>
>>47129156
>>47129158
Basically, I'm having trouble interpreting the "wit, cunning and skill" part that can give "an answer for virtually every situation" in a way that doesn't involve personality alteration. Um. It's kinda... being able to think /faster/ doesn't change /how/ you think, but that isn't the same as actually having /wit/ or being more /cunning/. Does that explain my thought processes (no irony intended)?

>>47129168
Yeah, I admit I have this problem. Bad. I'm an aspie english nerd. Of course, it kind of proves my point in a weird-ass way - if I bought the Realm Of Heroes perk, I'm sure the new me wouldn't have a problem "interpreting" the situation how I wanted.
>>
>>47129206
He's getting there, yeesh.

Anyways I'm off to bed. It's 230AM.
>>47129199

>>
>>47129199
>here were undisclosed PMs apparently involving the SB coalition of Adarx and Mega declaring they would be starting their own drive
You mean that thing people from here have said they wanted multiple times? That thing that would honestly be great and mean we can avoid so many shitstorms as each community does what it wants in it's own corners?
>>
>>47129209
I'm talking from what Mega and Merchant have posted in thread during the aftermath. Searching the archives for Mega saying Drive should get you the important bits.
>>
>>47129179

Is there a particular reason you think it should be removed? I, personally, think it's thematic for the ring of ainz ooal gown to be able to teleport people back to Nazarick, since that's basically exactly what it does.

The whole '6 month' vacation deal isn't even that big a deal, I can't really think of what advantage it gives you outside of having some downtime. It's certainly not the first either, the SoL jump has the same thing and I know for a fact that Animal Crossing (which didn't originally have it) was updated to include it's own '6 month vacation' deal. And both of those are currently in the jump drive. Considering the sheer cost of getting a ring in the first place (you need to blow at least 1000CP on it) I'm not really seeing what the problem is.
>>
>>47129212
The way I see it is that it effectively gives you all the time in the world to think of a clever reaction and compresses it all down into moments.
>>
>>47129222
Then if you want to keep it, you should add a similar note to Animal Crossing. That you can't stack vacation options, it's one after each jump only.
>>
>>47128809
On the subject of Drop In and mind altering... why does Player give you memories as a Drop In? You're already not going to have memories of the setting as a Player, why give memories of the game?
>>
>>47129213
Yeah, you mean you missed the guy openly advocating making replacement jumps with it in their signature? The funny part is that came about a good deal later because Mega apparently wussed out afraid we would remove his jumps from our drive and Adarx couldn't be arsed to actually put effort into anything.
>>
>>47129222
>Considering the sheer cost of getting a ring in the first place (you need to blow at least 1000CP on it) I'm not really seeing what the problem is.
That's not a good argument man. Not saying I don't agree with the rest of it (Though I do agree that the Animal Corssing limit is a good idea if you want to include it, stops people getting tonnes and tonnes of time), but that 1000cp perk already gets you 900cp of extra freebies excluding that ring.
>>
>>47129237
Another lie. The Crusade jump is done and being used...
>>
>>47129237
>SB makes replacement jumps in it's own separate drive
Who the flying fuck cares? Why do you care? Seriously?
>>
>>47129231

So the issue is stacking? To be honest I hadn't even considered that. Yes, that's an easy fix to include.
>>
>>47129191
>Maybe in the future. I wasn't able to include several races because there simply isn't enough information about them to make a solid race entry.
I am sad. There's no way Entoma will come with me (podded) unless I take 42nd, which I won't. But... I understand.
>>
>>47129222
Because it's not thematic at all, and being able to RETURN TO A JUMP YOU'VE ALREADY BEEN TO is a /massive/ breach of jumpchain convention that isn't justified at all by "Ainz can teleport people back to his crib" when plenty of jumps have teleportation abilities and none of them let you go back to visit for free.

>6 months

Go magpie all the items, kill everyone for soul power etc.

>SoL

As was said much earlier SoL was made in a different time.

>Animal Crossing

I am disgruntled beyond all reason but you are technically correct. I still don't there's sufficient justification for it to be thematic for the purposes of Overlord jump but at this point I can't really argue it further.

>>47129243
I have never heard of this Crusade jump up 'til now, so I can only assume it's only done so on SB.

Now. I refuse to sink to the level of blaming SBers for sabotaging the /tg/ community but I will say that I have absolutely never, ever heard of the Crusade jump in these threads until you brought it up.
>>
>>47129191
Hmm. Nah, keep the Slime at 300... imho, anyway.
>>
>>47129243

>>
>>47129265
I trust it's never been posted here, then? That would explain why.
>>
>>47129267
It's been posted in the SB thread. The mod even included an open request for critique in his signature shown to the entire board at one point. But yes, it's never been posted here because it's a godawful abomination and the guy who made it has stated he gives no shits about this thread, so even critique generated here would be pointless.
>>
>>47129233

Because if you choose to be a Player that means you were an actual Player that played the YGGDRASIL game. You can't really be a Player and not have any memories relating to having played the game.

Drop-In is a reference to the fact you are 'dropping in' to the New World, if you choose Player you're dropping-in just like Ainz did, aka: you were in Japan playing a game and then the transfer happened. If you choose to be a local you're just a drop-in period.
>>
>>47127729
Yes. They are child-like monkey creatures with reactive shapeshifting abilities and the need to bond emotionally to form weak mental connections with humans. Basically therapists/assistants for work on the Light of Terra.

>>47129280
>if you choose to be a Player that means you were an actual Player that played the YGGDRASIL game.
And... if you choose to be a local that means you were an actual person that grew up in the area.

>Drop-In is a reference to the fact you are 'dropping in' to the New World, if you choose Player you're dropping-in just like Ainz did,
And... exactly the same thing will happen if you choose Player with any other origin.

OverlordJump-chain.pdf
1 B, 486x500
So, slightly updated version of the Overlord PDF. Removed the repeated mention of disease/poison immunity in Angel and clarified that the 'return for a 6 month vacation' if you've got a ring of ainz ooal gown doesn't stack with other 'vacation' options.
>>
>>47129259
Then you were obviously not paying attention when Adarx was attention whoring for it. Seriously, the guy even posted it in thread as an embed and then had it in his signature in big font for quite awhile after that. And that's before getting into the initial arguments that got shoved into PMs after awhile. It seriously strains credulity that you somehow missed that entire thing. You might've just remembered it as Adarx's B5 jump since he didn't bother distinguishing the settings at all.
>>
>>47129302

If you choose to be a Local and pick Drop-In then you are a regular drop in. No memories. If you choose to be a Player and a Drop-In then you have memories related to being a Player, and you are 'dropped in' to the New World.

Basically if you pick Player you have memories regardless of whatever else you pick. Them's the breaks. If you don't want memories Local and Drop-In is your go-to option.
>>
>>47129259
You can magpie all the items and kill everyone for soul power without the vacation deal though so I wouldn't really consider that a reason against it
>>
>>47129309
Is there any benefit to taking Realm Of Heroes if you've taken Level One Hundred?
>>
>>47129325
No, I'm pretty sure that anon just wasn't on Spacebattles. Because, you know, it had nothing to do with /jc/ here on 4chan.
Spacebattles Competence makes bad reading, nothing new or interesting about that. So long as it stays on SB, who cares.
>>
>>47129352
Oh whoops, mistook him for the maker. I'm getting too tired for this.
>>
>>47129337

Yeah, that was kind of what I was thinking. I mean to even have the ring you must have picked the 42nd Supreme Being perk, which already locks you into to a very specific run-through of the jump. Additionally, to be blunt, if you're a Supreme Being of Nazarick then you've basically already got access to all the items worth mag-pieing. In fact you've got a ring on your finger that will take you right to the treasury they're all stored in and basically no one will question you just taking stuff except maybe Momonga.

As for the 'stealing souls' thing, again, Supreme Being of Nazarick just to get the ring. If you want to do that you'll literally have a whole murder-dungeon willing to help you do it while you're there, no need to wait to come back later.

>>47129350

Yes, it's mentioned in the notes section. Taking both Realm of Heroes and Level One Hundred basically makes you an uber-top-tier person as far as stats go. Combine it with good gear (for example some divine tier equipment) and you're basically a top 1%er.
>>
>>47129337
It gives you a much larger window of opportunity. And your given justification still makes it come across as something handed out of the blue instead of being genuinely thematic.

Again as I've said I've conceded I don't really have as strong a point to prove against you as I'd prefer. I COULD bring up certain stereotypes of certain boards but that would be petty and unproductive of me so all I can say is to remember 6 month returns aren't something normally wanted in a jump.

>>47129325
You're technically right.

I've never been to SB.

I have nothing against them, I just-basically what >>47129352 said.

I know some people make good jumps here who hail from there, though. They're cool guys.

>>47129299
On the one hand, I want to keep an open mind and an objective attitude to this sort of thing.

On the other hand, people actually /defending/ jumps from there that have never been posted here and certain fiascos other people would rather not be brought up? Yeah. That's a pretty sore point.

I'm willing to believe it's just a vocal minority of assholes considering we have people like Bancho, though.
>>
>>47129371
Oh, whoops. Mistook him for you, >>47129372 was me.

Alright, I don't like it in principle at all but I'll concede the point because Supreme Being is already kind of a trap option, so it's kind of like you earned that shit by undertaking a scenario.
>>
>>47129372
As I said in >>47129368 I mistook you for the maker of Overlord. Who's called Brellin over there and should probably namefag to avoid mixups. Anon jumpmakers can be headaches to tell apart and reference rulings from.

>LANGUAGE:
Unless otherwise stated, assume that the characters in any universe are speaking and writing in your natural language. Even though an Anime verse should be using japanese exclusively, for some reason you interpret it as standard english, or whichever your most proficient language is.
So, basically the same thing for any common language but it also applies to writing (and probably some types of sign language).
>>
>>47129409
Man you know everyone ignores that part. It's especially bothersome if you actually want to KNOW Japanese or whatever instead of it being converted to 'English' during your stay. It's a really stupid ruling to make language perks 'useful' yet it never got used. It's a dumb artifact we all should ignore.
>>
>>47129453
...I really don't think that anyone that purposefully ignores one of the existing free ways to get it is going to pay 50cp for the same effect that only applies to companions anyway.
>>
>>47129425
You mean the one that says that unless a jump states otherwise, everybody in the universes you visit are speaking and writing in your language, but then goes on to say that you can't learn their language (wot)?

>>47129448
And if I asked you to find the basis for including that rule in the pastebin, would you actually be able to point me to a real post by QS in the threads?

Finally, even if I used that rule (I started jumping long before that pastebin existed), if I was in a jump which has everybody speaking different languages, this perk takes care of that for a mere 50/100cp.
>>
>>47129473
50/100 -> should be 50
>>
>>47129448

Okay, so where exactly does it say that? I mean quoting it is nice, but I've never seen that text before.
>>
>>47129490
Just ignore it man, it's a dumb artifact.
>>
>>47129464
That's how I thought it worked at first, but then I re-read the perk properly. It gives you and your companions the ability to talk with anyone (and them back to you), what it doesn't do is give everyone in the whole setting the ability to talk with each other.
>>
>>47129473

It's Free or 50cp, not 50cp or 100cp. Everyone gets it for free in jump and can pay 50cp to take it with them.
>>
Polling the audience: FF7 has a gift of a "Deed to a villa in Costa del Sol".

In other Jumps, is that represented by owning a beach house in every setting where one can be reasonably found?

Or does it become a literal deed, a lovely certificate with no actual value outside Midgar?

The Dahak series by David Webber.

Basically the moon is actually a massive spaceship/super weapon much like the Deathstar and brought the original humans from our home star far, far way to Earth.

They came to Earth to watch for some ancient alien menace that keeps wiping out advance civilizations. Its been ages since they were last seen so almost no one believes in them anymore. Some of the crew mutiny and try to take the ship which the Ship AI, Dahak, isn't amused by.

The mutineers fled to Earth and the ship has been watching over humanity for millennia now.

Series kicks off with an Astronaut who bears lineage to those ancient crewmen going to the moon and triggering Dahak to bring him aboard, making him Captain as he's the only "surviving" member now or something along those lines.

Shit gets crazy from there with the Mutineers actually being around still by using super advance tech to transfer their brains into new bodies and such. They are still trying to get back into the ship and so are the remaining loyal crew who chased them to Earth and cant return until the mutineers are all executed.

Was a good read. I should find the books again.

Had an idea while reading the Eldar WIP so I thought I'd post it here.

Pretty obvious that the Warrior line does need an extra perk and I can't think of one but it strikes me that the aspect warrior options are themselves just not that appealing. Like they're straight up not as fun as some of the other 200 CP stuff so expecting them to carry that line is silly.

I think what would improve them somewhat would be to add some clear perky effects to them. Your fire spreads more readily and more consistently going where you want it, you get a preternatural ability driving any vehicle in battle, perhaps a shooty one, etc.

They could also do with a rewrite as frankly I have no idea what the Dire Avengers are even capable of. It's literally just a short Eldar history lesson.

Still think it needs another perk in there but it'll help go some way to making the Eldar jump at the risk of overusing this phrase a real slam dunk.

Well that and listening to the people that actually seemed to know what they were talking about when the WIP was released.
>>
>>47129735
Oh and the Achoo are that ancient alien menace.

A stupidly long time ago, their race was nearly wiped out by another significantly advance race. The AI they had all came to a conclusion to save the race by cloning vast armies of Males to send out periodically to sweep the galaxy of all advance life capable of broadcasting radio signals or the like. Which is plot relevant later as the MC's find a planet of humans that have crippled themselves to not go past the dark ages.

AI also went balls to the walls insane by continuing to only produce males and made them subservient clone troopers that did whatever they said.

Humanity Fuck Yeah moment as we rescue some of the aliens, explain this shit to them from data recover from an AI black box on their ship, and then we clone the first Achoo females to restart their race. Suddenly we then have Alien Bros.

Class Skills, Magic Caster: Arcane Caster, Divine Caster, Talismonger (900)
The Abyss of Magic (600)
The Ring of Elru (+200, 0)

So uh. Certain unfortunate implications do seem to arise given the freeform nature of Local as a background.

It's going to be a shaky first meeting, but our first stop is to introduce ourself to Momonga and talk about setting up an alliance against the other guild. We'll come bearing gifts in the form of vidya as a home comfort, and discretely coach him on how to overlord. We do have some experience, after all.

This is NOT going to endear us to the NPCs. Especially Albedo and Demiurge. That said, we do have a flying fortress of sorts. So hopefully we can coexist with a mutual defence pact while Malefor's off saving the Draconic Kingdom and Elodie's off to scheme Re-Estrize into political stability. Maybe help 'em set up some magical industrial production lines so the funny farm never has to be set up, and thus Ainz never has to have an awkward revelation.

Seriously, the biggest danger here is our keikakus getting entangled with the NPCs' keikakus which they think are Ainz's keikakus. It's a very real risk because Ainz himself has no idea what he's doing outside of gameplay stuf and just has a great knack for bluffing and improv as well as lots of meta knowledge.

He'd make a great Jumper, in short. And technically he IS one, but just for one jump.

Well, that and the Slane Theocracy mistaking us for the second coming of Our Lord and Savior BallsDeep69 or whatever YDDRASIL players call themselves.

There's this novel series about humans and bug aliens having a war when they first met (just like all humans meet bug aliens novels), but after that they become best friends to the point that by the time they meet a third race, and a fourth, and so on, all those races assume that humans and bugs are the same species because of how close they are.

Wish I remembered the name.
>>
>>47129860
not really. that was specifically avoided. Mother (who is the old navy. yes, all of it), Stepmother(the new navy) and Dahak are all great. Basically, the humans have 'ai work well, humans fuck up;', and the achuultani have the opposite.
>>
>>47129860
Eh, yeah. AI rampancy and limitations is a big thing in the series. Like Dahak WANTS to help people but he can't without breaking rules set in place.

Such as letting the loyal crew back on board but can't until the mutineers are killed. Other fun stuff comes up later too.

So uhh if you choose that Rival Guild drawback. And go back later could you finally diffuse the conflict non-violently?

What happens if you choose rival guild if you aren't a part of a guild? It says the gun for you even post jump return. But that only applies if you're part of the main guild anyway. So what happens post jump return and you're not part of any guild and somehow managed to mitigate their fuckery and remained neutral on the matter. Would they still be fighting? Or something like that?

Thanks.

CCDT, they're elite infantry. They run around cutting up people with ninjastar guns, while running like Naruto, screaming "BELIEVE IT!".

Ok not really. However they are like Guardians (Militia) on Steroids. They use the Shuriken Catapult which is like a rifle that shoots tiny monoedged ninja stars. They unleash very accurate volleys of these ninja stars, which individually might not cut through thick armor, however when done in a volley they're capable of it. It the TT it's called "Bladestorm" which I want to say increases the AP or Armor Pen on a certain roll. In fluff they do it all the time.

A build!

The Fortress City, E-Rantel
21 years old

Elf
Magic Caster
Enhanced Summoning 100
Magic Learning Affinity 200
Magical Powerhouse 300
The Realm of Heroes
Level One Hundred 900
Class Skills, Magic User
Arcane Caster
Divine Caster 950
Talismonge 1000
Specific Specialisation
Summoning 1100
Dark Wisdom 1300
The Abyss of Magic 1600
The Ring of Elru 1800
Embroiled in Politics 1600
Rival Guild 1000

Good jump, lotta power but I guess given the nature of the protagonist that's fair enough.

I THINK this is a legal build, not totally sure about the Ring thing as I took the extra 200 CP and the discount to make the world item cost 200 CP.

Went elf for the magic which is what I put all the focus on. Took Local as I liked the Innate Talents more than I wanted a fancy race as the races are a little pricey and I didn't want to pick up a weakness. Took the big magical Talents, summoning, learning and power. Power gets a discount for elves and locals so not sure if that means it should have cost 50 CP or 100 but I figured you probably just get the one.

Level One Hundred is basically an expensive perk booster but is really obviously good.

Took all the Class Skills as combined with Level 100 they seem pretty cheap.

Took Summoning as I already took it once + Level 100 + Magical Powerhouse + The Realm of Heroes so I figure I should be able to summon some truly wacky shit.

Dark Wisdom is mostly as I like the watching spells to learn 'em thing.

The Abyss of Magic I took because blasting shit. Also seems to work well with the Ring of Elru for single massive attacks.

The Ring of Elru I like a lot. Always imagined myself wear a ring as a jumper and now I guess I've got one worth wearing.

Drawbacks means there's some extremely dangerous characters, I have to go make friends with the skellington and I'm probably going to have to try to manipulate everything behind the scenes. Going to be a tricky one.
>>

Also, a thought occurs-there's a form of magic native to here called Wild Magic. Even after being degraded by the forceful insertion of MMO magic leading to a climatic battle of dominance, the main limit on it is that it costs soul energy now. Oh yeah neat.

Don't totally understand your maths as (800/2)-200 is definitely 200.

Also realised I actually save 200 CP due to the additional discount rule that I missed in the Innate Talents section. Means that Enhanced Summoning and Magical Powerhouse were each free as I got 2 discounts on them due to origin choices making them freebies. Means I can get Dark Wisdom again.

Leeroy gets an import with some battle commander stuff and the ability to understand any language. Probably going to be a lot of "Leeroy, tell that man I hate him". Should probably just be down as First Free Local or something so people don't assume it's not the same dealy as Homunculus Maid (as in free for the purposes of that jump but not as a companion).

Also thinking on it one of the things it might be worth considering is trying to come up with some upper end feats for Level 100 builds that don't go Magic Caster. There's examples for lots of the Magic Caster stuff but not for any of the others.

May be difficult to come up with stuff but otherwise people are either going to have to make up their own ways Level 100 interacts with specialisations or everyone will assume that Magic Caster is just the best origin regardless.

>Interaction with the Sword of Darkness is omitted.
>Chatting with the Village Chief to inform Ainz of the New World is omitted.

Basically I will just try to keep Nazarick in one piece while dealing with the Rival Guild, and if it comes to worse, I can always bring out the heavy guns.

Spend the mayor part of the my time in Nazarick teaching stuff about the 'real world' and their creators to the NPCs.

Try to collaborate with Demiurge in some of his schemes. And always back-up Momonga's bullshit buffs to ensure hilarity.

>>47132115
I don't know why, but I put 'Wrath of Nazarick' instead of 'Rival Guild'.
>>
>>47132115
> Magic Caster is just the best origin regardless.

Well that was taken out of context pretty hard. My point was that there are a bunch of examples of top end feats for Magic Casters but not for the other origins.

Anyone who doesn't know shit about the setting is going to assume that the Magic Casters get all the best stuff or have to make up the sort of thing they can do with Level One Hundred and the other origins themselves.

In the Magic Caster section the Level One Hundred perk is mentioned 5 times in how it interacts with the perks. It isn't mentioned once in the others.

People already choose magic stuff whenever possible over other types of origins most of the time, there should probably be some examples of cool stuff you can do with Level One Hundred and some of the perks for other origins.

...not gonna lie, I can see why a lot of people would just go Local/Magic Caster. That is a LOT of toys that they can collect, and I was literally 50CP short from just grabbing 'use any magic item'. The only thing that kept me from being that kind of ridiculous was my vanity. For serious. My own vanity is the only thing that kept it from me.

I like some of the side effects of the magic perks like conversions and overcharges, but it does seem like Mage perks are mostly "you gain even MORE power, but you also get this!" which started to make things sound repetitive. No, seriously. Give me a good estimate.

>you get even MORE power, but you also get this!

I think that's at least partly because the YGGDRASIL magic system-the most prominent one since it's Ainz the MC's bread and butter-is greatly inspired but certain D&D ones. So buffs, status effects and such tend to come up a lot even in canon.

>how much

Well. Suffice to say-Ainz is level 100, has several World Items at his disposal to boost himself further but doesn't use them most of the time and is spec'd for PvE rather than PvP. I don't remember what Abyss of Magic is based on so I'm not sure if he has its' effects, but he definitely has Level 100, two of the Innate Talents you picked (he seems to lack alchemy since he got someone else to be his alchemist) and he's an arcane caster. He can implode a fairly high level angel with a single, casual spell. During the fight below his mana pool couldn't be measured, but it isn't infinite and got depleted to a saner levell towards the end. As for what he can do with that level of power WITHOUT World Items backing him up-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29XJPq7DDag.

(Part 2 shows what happens when a Level 100 PvE PC breaks out World Items against an NPC minmaxed for PvP. World Items are extremely decisive in a battle between Level 100 beings).

Oh, right. And Ainz has a "statblock". Again-MMORPG guild leader spec'd for PvE in a world full of NPCs.

http://overlordmaruyama.wikia.com/wiki/Ainz_Ooal_Gown/Abilities_and_Powers

Also that video mostly showcases Arcane magic. Divine magic on Ainz's level hasn't been seen in the animu so far, but there's an Nazerick NPC called Mare who effortlessly shapes the nearby terrain around Nazerick into some artificial hills to camoflage it.

Mare also has a "statblock" but it's much sparser than Ainz's.

http://overlordmaruyama.wikia.com/wiki/Mare_Bello_Fiore/Abilities_and_Powers

Also elves age super slow. He's 76.

Actually-just to clarify, Mare was using a Divine Item to do the TK-like terraforming and maybe "effortless" was an exxageration; it didn't tax him too much but it did seem to require some focus.

Then again, Mare is also said to be approaching top tier in Nazerick by another Nazerick NPC.

To get an estimate of what warriors in Overlord can do, look at the Floor Guardians. They are lvl100, and several have a warrior-like class. We don't actually know what all the skills do, but the skill names give a good guess.

Albedo (defensive warrior): Aegis, Counter Arrow, Parry, Parry Missile, Transposition, Walls of Jericho
Shalltear (unholy warrior): Brilliant Radiance, Force Explosion, Force Sanctuary, Purifying Javelin
Cocytus (sword saint): Razor Edge
Aura (ranger): Erase Presence, Galactic Shot, Immovable Binding Force, Rain Arrow, Shadow-piercing Arrow

Or non Floor Guardians.

Sebas (monk): Intimidation, Iron Skin, Hand of the Puppeteer (control targets through ki), Ki Sense
Gazef (warrior): Body Strenghtening, Enhanced Magic Resistance, Focus Fighting Power, Instant Counter, Magical Weapon Enchantment, Mental Enhancement, Possibility Sense ('see' possible outcomes), Sense Weakness (see where to strike a weak spot), Fourfold/Sixfold Slash of Light (strike four/six times at the same time, great damage)
Brain (sword master): Ability Boost, Capacity Building, Crosses, Cutting Edge, Field (sense everything in your range, greatly increases accuracy and evasion, almost a pseudo-timestop), Fortress, God Flash, Instant Flash, Oblique Strike, Severing Blade, Strong Assault, Wind of the Great Forest

Then there are a few abilities that we do know.

World Break (Touch Me): Attack a target by slashing the space, similar to but stronger than Reality Slash.
(Greater) Ability Boost (Clementine): General stat increase.
Full Throttle (Clementine, Gazef): Speed (movement and attack) increase.
Greater Evasion (Clementine): Dodge increase.
Invulnerable Fortress (Clementine): Block attacks, has shown to block attacks far beyond what the user could normally handle.
Pace of the Wind (Clementine, Gazef): Speed increase.

The way I see it, the 'normal' martial artists of Overlord have a lot of buffing abilities, comparable in effect and power to Tier 3 and Tier 4 magic, the very peak for 'normal' magic casters (and also comparable to lvl3 and 4 spells in D&D). The Floor Guardians, on the other hand, have martial art skills that are probably comparable to lvl7 and 8 spells, like Aegis, Transposition, Purifying Javelin, Galactic Shot.
Then at the far end of the spectrum we have Touch Me's World Break, a martial skill stronger than the 10th tier magic Reality Slash.

Of course all of this is mere speculation, since we simply *don't know*, but I think we can assume two things:
- Since Overlord seems to have drawn many ideas from D&D, if a lvl20 martial-class character can do it, a lvl100 warrior can probably do it too (depending on his specialization).
- Since magic casters and warriors have quite some similarities, if a magic caster ability's effect can be explained through training or ki use (magic shield -> ki shield, magic dimension cutter -> ki dimension cutter), a warrior can probably do it.

Guess who can't read properly?

I'd post up a corrected build, but I think it would be a little irritating to everyone else. Let's just say I bought 'Class Skill, Drop In: Ranger, Rogue' and 'Class Skill, Magic Caster: Talismonger' with my remaining 200 points.
