lets continue!
>a slightly mad bunch of psychic supremacists
>They live in a an underground bunker city the heart of which is a derelict space war ship of some sort.
>They conduct genetic experiments and run a psychic breeding program.
>They are loved and loathed by the Inquisition and the Ad-mech occasionally get them to test stuff.
>Their homeworld is a wasteland with mild warp exposure on the surface due to being close to the Eye of Terror.
>They are deep in Mechanicus philosophies and ideologies but not necessarily the religion.
>scouts that cannot accept the geneseed are used to sustain the golden throne
Anything else we need?

We need reason for founding, why they ended up on that shitty planet, who the old ship belonged to, what sort of society lives on their world, how old they are, famous events that made them and their beliefs as they are, famous people both historical and living and a brief description of their religious scripture.
>>
>>46627592
>religious structure
The Emporor is the sorce of human psykers. all hail the emperor for his gift to us!
>founded to both reserch and hold back chaos.
>on shitty planet as observers. it is close enough to warn everyone in case of invasion
>old ship was owned by chapter founder's fleet. was used to get there.
>society is a sapiocracy, with the smartest being the ruling class.
>eather 23th or 19th founding

>>46627650
>sapiocracy

I'm seeing a board of people, Head of the local Mechanicus, Head of the local branch of the psykanna, representative of the Arbiters, spokes person for the biologicus branch and maybe a few others like a spokes person for religious affairs all being present with the Chapter Master as chairman.

The urface, being warp contaminated for ~11,000 years, was exterminated with nukes back in the day by one of the short lived regimes that rose to power before the Imperium rolled into that patch of sky. fragments of things left behind would seem to indicate it was a conflict between Dark Eldar and Chaos Eldar.

This killed everything other than single celled moulds, algae, lichen and other such things.

But this being the warp this doesn't mean that the surface doesn't have monsters on it. It just means there are a lot of fuck ugly amorphous blobs shoggothing their way across the landscape.

Were it not for the shoggoth abominations it might have made a good agri-world. Nice climate, nice atmosphere, nice gravity, 412.2 local day year and a reasonable 28.5 hour day/night cycle. Axial tilt is a bit extreme compared to Terra but nothing too extreme.

The only Imperial surface structures the planet boasts are military in nature. Surface to space laser weapons, space ports, very well guarded access caverns and such things.

It's not good to spend too long on the surface for reasons other than shoggoths. At night the entire sky is filled with the Eye of Terror and it definitely feels like its looking at you. You personally. And if it had an expression it would be that of a hungry ogryn looking at a plate of cheese burgers. Then the whispering stars and you better start praying to drown them out but not to loud because algae shoggoths and carnivorous shroom trees.

There is nothing on the surface worth seeing. All the old elder ruins are long since stripped of anything of any value or taboo and everything else is either very dull or trying to ruin your day.

The quality of life for the average pleb in their subterranean hives is actually not that bad by hive standards.

Servitors are rare, and intentionally so, so there isn't as much unemployment as might otherwise be. Voluntary military service is always an option when every other path is closed and there is always a need for more men to go Shoggoth culling.

Down side is that everyone is part of the chapter breeding program and you don't get to choose your partners.

The holy grail of the chapter is finding one of the increasingly rare mortal descendants of the Emperor only a handful of generations removed from His Holiness. They would be the ultimate in superior breeding stock.

They occasionally, and VERY discreetly, commission navigators to father children with selected stock. True it results in a massively increased likelihood of a child of the Psychic Master Race but they are also far more likely to have additional health complaints because of the twisted Navigator genes. So far no Navigator hybrid has been suitable for becoming Space Marine.

The core areas of the great cavern hives tend towards being extremely well ordered, being mostly based on the same compartmentalized nature of the ship that composed the core of the first Hive.

In the long years since illegal and unplanned tunnels have been dug out by civilians, usually in the upper levels of the top 2 mile, resulting in a vast network of unmapped warrens. In retrospect the chapter realize they should have put the boot down heavily on this but now its far too late as about 15% of the planetary population calls such places home.

There had always been distrust between the Inquisition and the chapter right from the off. How could there not be?

What brought it to a boil was the assault on a Black Ship.

After helping a lightly defended agri-world detect and eradicate their gene-stealer problem the king of that world offered them a reward of their choosing.

He was expecting them to choose something like regular food shipments or a lifetimes supply of vodka or something else their little world was known for.

The chapter had ben originally drawn to that world buy omens and portents telling them of one of their kin they had to retrieve. A girl psyker or modest ability but extraordinary stability and fortitude.

They chose the contents of the deepest dungeon and they would be taking any other witch they had stashed away thank you very muchly.

To the chapters wroth the agents of the Black Ships had arrived the night before and taken them all.

In the end the chapter took its prize, what they were owed.

They tried to do it as bloodless as possible. Shotguns with ballistics gell coated steel balls and rubber bullets and shock mauls. Casualties were much, much lighter than they should have been but casualties there were.

The Chapter took its prize but the feud had begun.

The chapter cult, and by extension state religion, of the planet tends to be some sort of ancestor "small gods" worship with the Emperor/Omnissiah as undisputed head of the pantheon although Emperor was never a god to start with. Just a perfect human to whom all the not shit gods bowed down to.

It is not the only religion on the planet. There have been off-world missionaries invited in because they were psykers. They followed some sort of Cult Mechanicus/Promethean hybrid scripture. As it stands they are a small but growing congregation making about 20% of the planetary population. So far the chapter has not recruited any into their ranks as battle brothers although some of the serfs do follow this new creed.

About 5% of the population follow the Thorian version of the Imperial Creed. It's never really been a popular belief structure due to the hatred of psykers and the high psyker population.

If they've got to the scout stage they won't be used as throne food. By that point too much has been put into them.
