Go to the goats and crows with concerns about these coral abominations.
Also voice interest in acquiring technical knowledge to improve our tools (Metallurgy).
While cutting up the beasts into jewelry, you notice that sticky purple fluid runs in between their cracks and insides.
The spread of news about the attack has mixed reactions. While the crows, who had a part in the battle, accept this news as yet another thing to be disciplined and ready for, the satyrs were deeply troubled, and asked to be left alone while they had a community meeting.
The crows say they have something that might improve our weapons, but not enough to share, and thus, said no more about the matter.

Let's see if we can get some fishing nets going.
Your spears, though better carved and less breakable, stay pretty much the same.
There are now two freshly-chopped wooden towers on the beach by your longhouse. They are in every sense of the word a lighthouse, and even offer vision of a bit of satyr territory.
While examining the fluid. some gnolls reported it getting warmer the larger it was in contact with their skin.

More streamline than ever, your boats keep their original 18 crew member size, but now have improved sailing that can go against winds, and turn on an oyster while reaching thrilling speeds. The gnolls enjoy doing donuts with the temple warship in particular.

>Spell(s) Gained: Coral Growth
Boats made entirely out of coral, let's go.
Though your first attempts at nets were awkward, you manage to finally create big boat-sized nets capable of being dragged on the bottom of the ocean. Fish and water flesh alike are now being obtained at a rate faster than any gnoll could dream of eating.
While checking on your goat friends, they are grateful of your gifts, congratulating you on your success. They tell you that their meeting was about establishing a military, something they've never had to do.
While experimenting on the sap, it became very clear to the gnolls that it gets warmer on contact with skin, but eventually regresses to being more of a tingling sensation. Feeling a sense of strength in his arm while testing on the skin, one gnoll decided to go ahead and drink the sap. He instantly passed out, but his unconscious body is unusually warm.

Try to smoke the fish over fires. Share some with goatbros.
We could offer a mutual defense pact to the goats. It'd obviously not be worth much at the moment, but if we established a system of conch blows, they'd have advance warning against anything coming from the sea.
Any thoughts?
>>46343321
This.Maybe the sap is an Aphrodisiac?
>>46343382
Sounds good. Even warnings are useful.
>>46343283
Create smaller boats and dinghies. No sense sending living boats far out to sea when we know there are hostile creatures. Instead we need a fishing fleet, which can also act as scouts and lookouts further off the coast. The larger vessels can stay close and harvest oysters.
>select all the images with fish
Perfect
>>46343382
I support this. Perhaps we could get the crows in on the deal
We could offer them food in return for some training.
I will accept two action rolls. As always, discuss before rolling.
>>46343396Maybe the sap is just really good booze
>>46343412
A supply of fish and oyster for a number of seasons might also entice the crows to share some of the tech that might not have occurred to us.

Guess we used up all our good rolls.
we're done lads
Needless to say, bullying was inflicted upon the gnoll who had the idea of making a "personal boat". What a waste of wood and time.
Our unconscious gnoll, however, was just waking up. Seconds after sitting up, he was instantly pelted in the face by smoked fish, which had been flung towards him by a tripping messenger. He angrily stood up in rage, only to be distracted by the mysterious tiny archs of purple lighting coursing through his fist.

>>46343700
Oysterious deliver us! We need to I nvestigate the condition of the awakened gnoll. I suggest talking to the crows and goats about whether they've encountered such phenomena.
>>46343700
C.
Get them pearls, perhaps we already have some in the trash.
>>46343700
C. Make beautiful gifts to strengthen our ties with the goats and crows.
Moving his fist back and forth, the gnoll seems to be able to control the shape of the sparks. Finally, with one flick, he surrounds his right hand with a massive arch of purple energy, forming a blade like shape. After stumbling around, panicking other gnolls, and accidentally felling a tree, he passes out in exhaustion.
You do notice that most oysters you eat have some gross rock in it that needs to be removed every time.
>>46343918
We need to collect any remaining sap.
Let's also roll to make oyster jewellery and wares for use in trade/diplomacy.
I'll take two action rolls. You know the drill.

You're an absolute madman. I like it.
Never change Otterly.
For the first time in their lives, the gnolls look towards the sand dune-sized pile of "oyster trash". Attempts to make art out of the tiny pebbles proved...okay. Some nice necklaces were made, but most gnolls agreed that the effort was not worth the fruit.
Rage-quiting their task of making things from ugly shell rocks, the village did what they do best- attempt to get shit-faced off of it. Only thought to slide down the throat easier than normal chum, this new drink is consumed not because it's better in anyway, but as a way of spiting people who would otherwise obtain wealth from such a stupid material. It's hard to say right now if it actually has magical properties.
