I'm not a /tg/ guy but I figured it'd be best to ask here.
Looking into christmas presents to get relatives and such. I know my brother is into board and card games so I was thinking of getting him pic related. Is it any good? From what I've seen it seems like it could be a fun little party game, though I'm not sure.

Superfight's fun, but there's not much real game there, it's just a social thing where you argue about how many gokus superman can bench.
That doesn't mean it's a bad gift though.
If you want to get him an actual small game, look into Star Realms, Epic, Love Letter, The Resistance / Avalon, Mafia de Cuba, Coup, Mascarade, Arctic Scavengers, One Night Werewolf / One Night Revolution, or something like that. Depends a lot on what he already has and likes, and the board game general will have better suggestions too.
Haven't played, but just watched a video of some people playing it and it looks pretty lame tbqh. Unspeakable words is a pretty fun party game. Some of the stuff >>43789581 mentioned is pretty good too, like The Resistance or Love Letter. Also Munchkin.

Pretty much this, Munchkin can be fun a few times but too often people just get too butthurt about it and it lessens or ruins the fun when you have people moping about.
If he doesn't own love letter he needs to own love letter. Literally everyone I've ever played it with has loved it. It's so vindictive for some reason, but so fun at the same time.

I really doubt this would fall into his interests, but thanks for the suggestion. Besides I'm already nurturing his inner weeb by getting him a volume or two of OPM along with whatever games I wind up picking up for him.

Was advised you really need the super hero expansions and others to make it really fun tho
