Yeah, although tax relief will depend on your income level from that business. There's also a few other caveats (max level of 4k pa, goes up to 60, if you want to access money earlier and not to buy a house you pay shitty charge) etc but it's certainly worth looking into and I've not seen it mentioned anywhere in gambling community.
Previously the best you would get is £2880 of tax relief worth contributions which govt would top up to £3600 pa. Now its £4000, and £5000 respectively, and you pay NO tax when you retire, whereas you are taxed at marginal rate under a normal dc personal pension.

Well you cant just magic a pension out of thin air. You are meant to put a bit a way each month or year so it builds up to a decent amount when you are old and crippled. But because of inflation, the £10 you have just now wont be worth £10 in 40 years. More like £5. So you invest your savings in a fund that hopefully grows no less than inflation so your £10 turns in to £16 which will buy you the same as £10 buys you now.
