Yes, a team without Vijay, Rahane, Ashwin, Jadeja or Mishra - the key players that destroyed South Africa.
You can't underestimate just how destructive Ashwin is in Asia, especially on those turners with Jadeja and Mishra as support. Some of the best players of spin have been completely bamboozled and really the only way to succeed is to be an autist like Cook or Kallis or play a once in a lifetime innings like KP.
Smith is a very good player of spin but I have a feeling like Clarke he will be particularly vulnerable in India just because he's always looking to play it aggressively. Like I said earlier, historically the most successful players of spin in India aren't the flashy players like Clarke or de Villiers, but defensive players like Cook, Amla or Kallis.
You're also making the assumption that the Indian team won't improve like the Australian team will. I disagree. Kohli seems deadset on playing on these wickets so the next time Australia visit, the batsmen will be far more adept at handling these wickets, in a way that Australia's batsmen simply won't.

I won't say Australia are certain to win. However, with Yasir now banned, Australia are the ONLY side in the world with the tools that make them even CAPABLE of beating India in their own conditions.

SOK is alot like Jadeja, probably better actually because he has better control of flight. But basically he is an extremely consistent bowler who will bowl the ball onto a 20c piece 6 times in a row but doesn't turn it much.
That's why he does/will do so well in Indian conditions because, like Jadeja, the sharp-turning conditions make him extremely dangerous.
He didn't get it quite right in the UAE game he played because he went searching for wickets and abandoned the method that has worked so well for him in Shield cricket but he learnt from that and showed that on the A tour in India.
But it is really Lyon who is bowling at a far higher standard than he was the lasttime he went to India.
