However, the text boards aren't image boards. They aren't really apart of the current community and can be considered separate entity. This means they can be used to fit certain niche's or just a way to have a different environment to the main boards. It also allows you to fix certain problems on the image boards, such as generals, by forcing them into the text boards as they fit better there. Most board suggestions people have these days are better off just being text boards.

/pol/ has outright killed diversity of discussion on 4chan. It's made 4chan a far-right circlejerk where you can't discuss fucking anything without somehow turning into /pol/ racist or sexist bullshit.
