The hair is one of a few leftovers from my earlier, failed transition, along with a nice stash of vintage clothing and accessories. Grew it long and learned how to take good care of it when I was in high school. Haven't cut it short since.
I was a bit worried about the impact transitioning would have on my social life, but the reactions were surprisingly very positive. So, you never know. It might make you less miserable straight away. It sure did for me.
