One month into hrt, went back to the clinic for my check up.
I experienced no negative side effects and told her increasing either or both would be fine. She didn't feel the need to increase spiro beyond 100 mg or estrogen beyond 1mg... I figured another month would be fine...
Turns out my next appointment is in 3 months. I found out after talking to the receptionist afterwards. Apparently I'm staying the course on what I have now.
I would be disappointed but my skin does seem paler, I think my face may be slightly slimmer and I'm kind of surprised what just wearing my hair differently has done. On top of less hair/skin oil, acne and smell in general. Also somehow I accidentally lost 9 pounds (bmi is 21.48 now) this month.
So... my dosage seems low... but I guess it's fine. Worst case scenario it takes longer to see more changes I guess?

you can get into some very autistic territory with skincare but the essentials are a good cleanser, a toner, a strong moisturiser for after laser, and a regular light moisturiser for the rest of the month. you need an exfoliating scrub to use once a week. you do not need to get much more involved than that unless you absolutely want to be.
and yes, for sunscreen i use a high SPF, since i don't want my skin to be damaged by laser, pic related.

And fundamentally (and this really pisses me off), this takes what is just basic benign sexuality, that is: “I am (for example) a man, and imagining myself as a woman turns me on” and pathologises it in a most Victorian manner. Then takes that pseudo-diagnosis, tangles it up with gender theory, and turns it on some trans women as a way to further pathologise them.
Let me write this louder:
THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH A MAN BEING TURNED ON BY IMAGINING HIMSELF AS A WOMAN. THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH A TRANS WOMAN BEING TURNED ON BY WOMEN (OR BY IMAGINING HERSELF AS A WOMAN, OBVIOUSLY). IT’S JUST SEXUALITY. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GENDER OR GENDER DYSPHORIA.
So finding yourself turned on imagining yourself as a woman neither proves that you’re trans nor proves that you’re not, it’s irrelevant – as a trans woman, whether the thought of yourself as a woman makes you happy is an entirely separate issue from whether it makes you horny.
