A cheap knife I would recommend is the RAT1, got it on eBay for 20€, not strictly chink since it's made in Taiwan.
Liner lock is a matter of preference, but you can carry it tip up or down, something you can't do with axis lock knives, and the blade is nice.

If you get a condenser microphone, a phantom power will be needed to use it properly. It provides it with more powoer. If your condenser mic is dynamic, you could try and expirement with cheaper solutions like getting a female XLR to USB cable and plugging it directly.

When you reach ECMCS3 tier of microphones, there's no point at chinking. Clip on mics are cheap no matter where you buy them from.
Your friends could get desktop microphones though. There are some cheap clones of desktop microphones known to have decent quality. I'll do a wiki edit shortly.

The sequential read speed is quite good. The write speed isn't that great however, but it's sufficient for recording 1080p video. A SanDisk 64GB SDXC card (the cheap one, not the extreme version) is almost twice as fast. So if you wan't to use the card for continuous shooting with a modern DSLR camera I wouldn't recommend to use this card.
Also the 4k write speeds are not really good, so it's also not perfect for the use in one of the single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi.
If you just want to store more music on your phone the card is fine.
