Hi there!

You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!

Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my bit to help you get used to the anonymous image-board culture!

I am sure they are fine pieces but I'm not dropping that kind of scratch on a watch for those specs. then again Ito might be comparable to a royal oak or calatrava, I'm not super familiar with that price range because I am a poor cunt that has no room to complain about something like this.

That is the stock bracelet. Don't really know how much it would cost on its own. Maybe more than average since I think it has a 23mm width.
I can't really comment on how it compares to other metal bracelets, since I dislike them swap out for nato or leather as soon as possible.
>>
>>55348833
If I come into money i'd get an RGM for sure. Weiss watch is much more reasonable price-wise, and they manufacture everything in the US except the movement (Unitas imported in parts and assembled/modified in the US). They just announced that they're developing an in- house movement, however. But I expect the price to shoot up accordingly (currently $900-$1,500).

To stop retards from memeing again
Casio solar watches use a standardized rechargeable battery that can be replaced if needed
They will NOT need a cap or any actual modification, unless there's water damage
If you keep the battery on medium or high throughout it's life it'll last longer, generally batteries should be fine for at least 10 years. Tough Solar watches charge under any kind of light, so just don't keep it in a drawer or something and it should be fine.

Very simple.

>put tape on case to prevent scratches
>pop bezel off with a knife (don't lose the spring)
>prise out the insert (apply small amount of heat to loosen glue)
>stick new insert in
>pop bezel back on

You can probably do it without removing the bezel but this way there's less risk of scratching the crystal etc.

My dive watch hunt continues. So far the Sinn EZM3 is the frontrunner. But I just discovered this. Opinions? IWC Aquatimer 2000. I quite like the white one.
>>
>>55353537
That IWC looks nice if you want something a little different.

Really the girls cock was so huge it formed a seal while sliding up and down his throat and the positive pressure followed by vacuum caused his lungs to tear and then collapse

I mentioned that incase he was doing a bezel swap on a Komandirskie, Amphibia or other watch with an acrylic crystal.
>>
>>55353175
Just put the insert in after you put the bezel back on in that case.
>>
How costly/difficult is it to get a new or different movement insterted into an old case? Ive found a nice vintage watch at an estate auction however Im unsure whether its unwound or simply broken. Was thinking of taking the risk and replace the internals as an alternative
>>
>>55354265
For another mechanical movement it's very likely to be impossible unless it's the same model of movement. Otherwise you risk having neither the movement, stem or hands fitting.
>>
>>55354515
thats unfortunate then
>>
>>55354530
Basically put, you can either service the movement and or find a replacement of the same type.

Might as well share pics and or what brand it is.

What is the appeal of Seiko turtles?

Why does everyone praise the turtle-shaped case? It's 2016 and that shit is an eyesore.

Is there a technical superiority of using the turtleshit case? Fuck this watch. I wanted a newer affordable Seiko diver and they fucked me over with this turtle shit

since the good folks of /wt/ made it clear that my dream of an skx007 with a 6r15 was never going to become a reality due to the turtles fulfilling that spot in seiko's line now, I have grown to like the srp787 in it's stead.

The 7016 was something altogether far different and much more special, and a 7016 this is not. As >>55352542 pointed out, it is an SNKN73, part of the ReCraft series. It uses the typical 7S26 movement. I don't remember the exact price but it was over $300 CAD. While I think it's a nice looking watch, I would never buy it at that price, since you're getting dangerously close to SARB territory. Of course, The Bay has a habit of overpricing watches. I've seen bog standard Seiko 5s on sale for $185, and they try to make it sound good to people by saying "it winds itself! Just like a Rolex!"

To the Japs' credit, Seiko and Citizen had the only decent looking watches in a sea of department store dogshit.
>>
>>55355537
It was popular because it was the cheapest ISO certified dive watch, it wasn't winning any design awards.
>>
>>55356454
I forgot to add the putting a 6r15 in it would make it, you know, not cheap. Some people might buy a $400 skx007 but probably not many.

Definitely an improvement. Removing the Arabic numerals makes it a lot less crowded.

I believe you can get lume in red, yellow, green (strongest), and blue. However you can get tritium in even more colours where yellow is quite strong.

Still, we would need a hand for the lunar cycle.

I wouldn't call SKX a cult classic, I would call it more of a mainstream or 'true' classic. It first started to be produced 20 years ago and carries the same torch that affordable Seiko divers have been carrying for 50 years.

Orange monster is just around to capitalize on some of the people who like ugly watches. They wanted some of that market share too.

It's got a gathering, but not the wide appeal of classic seiko divers that has a decent appreciation among watchfags in general.

Elitist fuck. You probably wear a Tissot and think you're the height of coolness. We all have to start somewhere, good job acting like a douche and stunting this kid's interest in watches. At least he has the balls to post what his starter watch is.

I swear I thought Omega was making a budget line of their Seamasters and calling them Rainmasters

A good bracelet is what that needs.

H-hows mine?

It's a great watch.
Try a gw5600 as your next.

>Olive green
I was actually considering this due to the green digits.
>Navy blue
Thus could also look nice, thanks.

>>55368680
Absolutely massive but I guess that's appropriate since it is a "tool" watch.

Lume comparison. The tritium is rather weak compared to the superlumina, but the watch is ~15 year old while the Sinn is less than 2.

It wears pretty small for a 56mm watch. Also I have bitch wrists so yeah. I would really reccomend a bracelet for the pulsar though. I have mine on a nato right now and it's pretty boring honestly.

What's the cheapest but still respectable Submarier homage? I know there's the Casio MDV106, anything else?

I'm just gonna put it on a rubber strap and pretend I'm Rust Cohle.

...is it possible to be a watch enthusiast and a poorfag at the same time? I really like watches but I will never be able to afford a great one
>>
>>55369020
O-okay. I might try a bracelet on the pulsar but it will have to be a cheap csg-tier one since it is a $28 watch. But I am very cheap so I will probably never buy a bracelet.
