I fully support GNU but I am hesitant to put on a sticker of a moose. That and with Mac I am hesitant to put on a sticker that suggests I am using anything other than OS-X. Apple is a software company, explicitly stated by Steve in a head on lecture with Bill Gates. So compromising that software- which really is more like firmware with Mac, seems like a loss of the integrity that you pay so much for. /rant/

It get what you mean, but I bought the laptop a long time ago before I even knew GNU/Linux existed. I grew to dislike OS X more and more as each update made changes I could not get rid of. My computer also could no longer keep up with it. I even tried using older versions, but they were lacking software support. When I learned about linux I feel in love with it and can finally use my computer how I want and not be forced to buy a new one with an OS I have now personally grown to dislike.

That seems like a great reason to switch and/or deviate from the consumer product plan.
I always think that needless dependencies are added to software to make them more top-heavy to require us to update our hardware. IE- if all I am doing is running the same operating system and roughly 300-400MB of RAM in executables with 1-2MBps network traffic and I/O on HDD is low, then why do I need to upgrade my hardware so often to maintain the same operating speeds ( 4-10 seconds to open software, initialize, use, etc.) even post defrag cleanups.
Meh what do I know,.. meh grumble grumble.
