I'm part of the iCloud botnet. All of my pictures seamlessly upload to iCloud. iMessage makes communication on my computer amazing. Picking up a book is easy on multiple devices because of iCloud as well.
Anyway, I don't want to be a slave to it, I want the flexibility to use an Android device. Is there any workarounds to using an Android in this ecosystem?
Mostly, is there something like iMessage for android where I can send text messages from my computer easily? All the other apps I use are platform agnostic.

I had a laptop fixed by a local computer repair store (they replaced my motherboard). A couple weeks later, my computer froze and the screen turned to a solid white screen with horizontal gray bars. I had to turn it off. A couple weeks after that my computer kept crashing after only an hour or so of use.
