The rug is actually wood(OSB) that I painted with spraypaint and masking tape. The chair kept digging into the carpet.

Cable management does not bother me since nothing is permanent, really, and especially with a low-power setup where air flow is not as vitally important (the max this configuration should ever use is around 150 watts - 69W CPU, 60W GPU, leaving around 20 watts for hard disks and fans and shit (probably more than they actually typically use).
I don't rice my desktop either. I use what works best for me. Ease of access is more important than looking pretty.

Trust me man the cheapest solution is the best. Velcro strips for keeping powerstrip up is a good start. But get a roll of velcro and a good stapler. I think that the deal is a little "too good to be true" so it's probably not worth 300 pounds or whatever that is in freedom dollars. You're better off looking for something like Herman Miller, Steelcase, or Human Solution if you want something that will have a nice warranty and be ergonomic.

Can I get suggestions on monitor arms? Gonna build a new rig with 3 screens. My planned setup is a 27" 1440p in the center and 2 smaller screens on each side. Something like 21" 1080p's or maybe ultrawide's to go vertical. Thoughts on vertical btw?
