It is by far the most stable and cutting edge linux product out there. Literally install, dnf update, and never turn it off again. Great repo support.

Is objectively wrong.
Stable and shipping KDE5 does simply not work.
And sure, you might get to a state to never having to turn it off, but that also means that after a few months, you will be running an outdated OS. As soon as the current version finally gets stable, they do a new major release, and it all starts again. If only rpmfusion would get their act together, so I could finally switch to EPEL6.
Which brings me to the next issue:
While it certainly has a lot of software, its still shit, compared to *buntu or Susie. A lot of stuff does not have a repor for fedora, and their freetard ideals certainly dont help in getting stuff in the official, or even semiofficial repos.

But then on the other hand, ubuntu is
>Linux for retarded beings
so I guess its the least bad option, so theres that.…
>>
Always loved arch for their good documentation and aur/abs. But COPR, the new abs concurrent of fedora is amazing. I've been a happy fedora user ever since. Hope it will stay.

Good devs, easy to install/configure, easy to rice. The only advantage using something like Arch is you do have access to more packages overall, but really out of the box Fedora is a very good OS.

Also Linus Torvalds uses it on all of his machines so I think that says enough.

I've been using Mint for about 2 years now on Samsung Chronos 7: So a decent computer. It just got slower and more bug prone until I couldn't handle it.

Installed Fedora after doing a good bit of reading and so far (4 days in) it's been extremely solid, fast and just nicer to work on. Doesn't mean it'll not go full Mint on me but as for now I'm extremely happy with it.

8.5/10 would recommend.

Lol no. One is a guy I know from high school, and the other is one I met in university.

What's it like being so insecure about your software choices that you lash out at people on the internet? You Arch users brought this upon yourselves by being smug and arrogant.

I'm using Manjaro atm. Used Ubuntu and Mint before, really liking Manjaro. Very light on my old computer, really liking pacman/AUR, but if it goes as people say, it will crash like a bitch every day (not happening yet). I want something stable, that I can just install and use, not have to spend days tweaking and stuff. I'm not a power user, but I use my computer to program and do everyday tasks.
What do you guys recommend? Debian (I've tried to install it but it kept bitching about my wireless card), openSUSE, Fedora?
I'd like some minimal installation, got kind of addicted after seeing I have a perfectly functional machine with less than ~800 packages, I can't understand how something becomes so bloated and have practically no difference, after you install a DE and basic programs, but then I might be saying shit, whatever.
T.Hanks guys

no. just evolution. which might cripple my ui according to the package manager info.
>>
>>54500065
Also, which .iso should I download from Fedora?
>>
It fucks with my boot loader so I can't install on legacy and have win10 on UEFI, it's either windows or fedora. So I went with Ubuntu
>>
>>54500094
gnome. all the other uis are ugly as shit. gnome is a pain at first but you get used to. its more mouse based but you can always set the terminal shortcut on your keyboard and launch programs from there.
>>
Because I prefer OS X and OpenBSD.
>>
>>54500100
thats funny because that happens in reverse to me. i have to install ubuntu on legacy which trashes my bootloader and ubuntu runs like shit overall. i dual boot fedora with uefi no problem and its fast.
>>
>>54500121
I'm using GNOME In my Manjaro installation, really liking it.
>>
>>54489507
I use Arch because it is by far the most stable and cutting edge GNU/Linux product out there. Literally install, add pacman -Syu to crontab, and never turn it off again. Great repo support.
When will you stop being a meme fedora user?

my browser won't let me go there.

Fedora was the only thing I could get to work well with skylake, so I'm using Fedora. All the others blackscreen or the drivers are fucked.

Has he ever proven he is a fattie? You sure dont trust his opinion on Linux distros, but you believe everything else he says? Epic troll in progress
>>
>>54500912
Your operating system is like a desk, it is way less important than the work you get done on top of it. You buy a desk and put it in a room so you can write things on it. The purpose of the desk is to get work done on top of it. Choosing Kubuntu, Ubuntu, or Xubntu is like choosing a different color. Using Arch is like buying sawdust and wood glue and trying to make a desk in your basement. Using Gentoo is like planting trees, cutting them down, and turning logs into a desk. In the end, the guy who just bought the desk is going to get the most work done, and the Archfag is going to be dealing with a broken Xorg.conf and fucking his system.

If you fell for the meme pacman does not use xorg.conf. Also, only idiots modify the original xorg.conf without cpying to /home first.

Next argument please. I need a valid argument
>>
>>54501304
It's still more likely for an Arch user to break it than other users.

Updates can break your system on Arch, which almost never happens on other distros.

You're deliberately ignoring the point that the analogy is making to defend your shitty hobby OS.

>>

It's not just possible, it's likely. Archfags constantly shitpost about how their distro is broken in Archthreads. Other users never invest time in their distros outside of installation and updating. Arch is even worse than Windows in this regard.
>>
>>54501454

No It's a series of post, day in and day out. You have to enable some serious damage control for denying this
>>
>>54501497

Because debian/ubuntu/fedora users are not meant to be posting their problems on those threads?

There sure isn't any non-response bias going on in that observation.

also knowing that the development is being made for the purpose of that version to be the best and easiest for users

not just a free sample for testing and hoping you buy their REHL version
