When I was 11 or 12 I noticed the gameport on my PC was the same as the monitor port on my Mac. Not knowing what the gameport was at the time I assumed it was in case you had an Apple monitor, when I plugged it in the port melted all over the monitor's pins.
Then when I told my dad I fucked up the Mac's monitor he tossed the perfectly functional Mac and refused to buy me a replacement for his fuckup

I bricked an ASUS P6T mobo by trying to flash it with their windows app and not the proper way. Old app didnt work in 64bit. Whoops. My bad. Upgraded to a 4790k and new mobo from the i7-920 and P6T tho so worked out, shit was getting old. Still have the 920 but can't find a decently priced 1366 socket mobo.
I used to think external HDDs connected over USB were the same as internal ones so i installed a bunch of my steam games on one for a prebuilt

Destroyed my optical drives when burning music cds by putting a label sticker on them before I started burning one. The sticker got sucked off and flew up into a part of the drive I couldn't get to, then made it scratch every disc put in afterwards. played around with both though i didn't have an "official" official kit. i left my ps2 at home when i moved across the country unfortunately. all i have at this point in time is a modded playstation 1, which i'm attempting to make demos for. there was some efforts to make a *nix run on the ps1, but from what i recall it was very limited and sort of fucked up
