The DAC is good enough, no need to buy a $60+ autism player. Battery life is superb especially if left on airplane mode and only used to listen to shitty old bands like queen and the beatles. Probably get a good 24 hour or greater battery life if only used to listen to music.

The "up to 70 hour battery life" claim is a huge exaggeration of real world use. It can probably do around 24 hours of mp3 playback on somewhat high volume (most people). The zte speed would probably have better battery life because the battery capacity is bigger (~2 Ah), that mp3 player might have a 1.5 Ah battery capacity at best.
What are you people doing that makes it so you have zero access to charging for weeks?

Then get the phone and load up FLAC/OPUS rips and you should be good. The reason we all recommend the phone is because it's always good to have a backup phone. If your main phone is kill you can use this one until you get a new note4/z5, whatever. You don't have to even activated, just leave it in airplane mode and it will turn into an instant 1337 music player. Question. I have £50 / $70 to spend. I use my phone (Samsung Galaxy s4) for music and some shitty JVC headphones. I listen to hardstyle/techno and the setup just isnt enough bass/noise wise.
