Difference is Apple can patch their problems, Debian can't.

You mean come up with a joke solution like remove the root account from jokeOS and tell everyone not on the latest current year update to fuck themselves and buy a new mac?

There you go. Not to mention, these are _discovered_ vulnerabilities, meaning just as many could exist inside of Windows or whatever else.
Define "vulnerability"?

You beat me to it, literally just copied the link to post a thread.
Well played

Sounds like you need to update your samefag recognition software.
You wouldn't have this problem if you owned a Mac.

I knew someone would point this out.
You are aware the majority of the Windows vulnerabilities would be duplicated across versions with a few version specific vulnerabilities, right? The reason it is split up is because different Windows versions have more presence than different OSX versions do.
If you tallied up the unique vulnerabilities it would still be under 200.

>Not to mention, these are _discovered_ vulnerabilities, meaning just as many could exist inside of Windows or whatever else.
Meaning that every OS could potentially be the worst.
But I seem to recall that one of the past arguments was that Windows was the most targetted OS because it was the most common.
If it is the most targetted OS and thus has the most people looking into it but still doesn't have the most discovered vulnerabilities then that can't bode well for the less common OSs that have more discovered vulnerabilities.

Still doesn't take into account severity and how granular each company is with reporting.

System Integrity Protection (formerly "rootless") only makes some system files read-only, even for root, and adds some other protections (read-only nvram and dtrace/debugging restrictions, kext signing enforcement)
You can disable SIP in entirety or partially using an officially supported method.

It got patched ages ago:

Reminder than applel in 2016 still trusts OSX's EFI to MSDOS over HFS. :^)
