So the tip the headphone jack of my DT 770's snaped off inside of my fucking thinkpad. So my headphones useless are with any other device and the tip somehow got lodged in the so deep that it wont come out.
In fact, in some twisted irony, the headphones only work with the thinkpad because it can still make contact with the tip that is still in the headphone port.
The DT 770 dont have a removable cable and a local repair shop said they would charge $60 just to LOOK at it. How hard is to buy a replacement cable and fix it myself?

Yes, that's why I want something I can put near my mouth, is somewhat compact and in the best case detachable. The difference between boom and the other type is big enough to make the difference, trust me. I ran some tests today an no matter what I do or where I put it, the Blue Yeti picks up too much. It even picks up my cat licking itself on my bed 3 meters away.
I have the HyperX II, and while the mic is good, the sound quality isn't all that great in USB mode. If I connect it via 3.5mm jack I get weird white noise when playing a sound, especially noticable when windows asks for admin permission
