my brother is low on money and needs a laptop for video editing, would it be possible to upgrade this laptop later?

You will have to upgrade when it burns out in 3 months from now
No.

It's perfect for your brother.

That Celeron is soldered to the motherboard, so no. Also any HP computer that costs less than like 1000 bucks is pure shit.
Just get a second hand Thinkpad like a good /g/ visitor.

if you want a cheap laptop for doing multimedia and are planning to upgrade you are better off gettin' an used elitebook, you can get great deals on these, with sandybridge processors and plenty of room for RAM upgrades.
or a similar thinkpad.
get into /tpg/ and ask there.

LOL no. you'd be better off spending that money on a used i5 desktop

no, really, even if you are not planning to do anything but shitpost, dont ever buy a consumer grade laptop. they are shit and cannot be either upgrade or serviceable
sure, an enterprise laptop will be uglier and thicker but that bastard is worth every cent you paid for it. which you probably want to, as you mention to be short on money.
and they are cheap on second hand. as most units come from discommissioned lots .
