Sorry about the sporadic timing of these storytimes, I've been somewhat busy lately (I just signed up for a gym)
Also, I may or may not have played a little too much FE and forgotten about doing this yesterday...
Sorry, I got distracted by one of those "Gordon wants Batman to rape the Joker" threads
Is it wrong if I'm aroused by wild native girls?
Though they are colored much more lightly in the cover
>>83548728
Everybody has their kinks.
>>83548883
Dahni looks like she is a 10 year old kid suddenly
>>83548728
Why do you think they added half-naked girls?
>>83548938
Different inker. Guessing Buscema, like most cape artists, can't draw children very well, but McLeod can so his inking helped.
So... too early I guess?
>>83549509
The Nova Roma stuff is just pretty weak imo. I'm sure New Mutants threads will really pick up when you get to The Demon Bear
How did the romans arrived to Brazil anyway ?
>>83549581
Depends on which retcon you prefer
>>83549639
Heh. That's superhero comics in a nutshell.
>>83549639
Tell me both
>nova roma
man so much weird shit in New Mutants
>>83549748It's just a lost Roman colony that for some reason never advanced
All the citizens are really kidnapped slaves of Selene and she just made them believe in was an ancient Roman city
The Selene retcon was itself later retconed to not be true and the lost colony thing became canon again
>>83549910
Soo somehow a boat from rome arrive to Italy
Whew, I thought I'd have to start that chapter all over again.
>>83550064
It's the Marvel universe
You guys probably have no idea of what I'm talking about but that's OK.
>>83550064
*to Italy
Fuck i mean to say south América
>>83548114
I don't understand the ridges in Rahne's hair.
>>83550447
They're like Norman Osborn's cornrows!

I like dialogue covers. I hate when every issue has to have dialogue on the cover (like at Marvel in the '70s). But as a special effect is fun.
>>83550104
Assistant Editors' Month is still my favorite gimmick month.
I especially liked it when the Assistant came up with a better issue than the regular editor like with Spider-Man ("The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man").
>>83551193
I don't know if they're charming or just plain weird when the cover is drawn with a modern artstyle but it has dialogue boxes in it.
X-Anon how many gbs of comics do you have?
>>83551259
It's charming to me. All-Star Superman had dialogue on the Jimmy Olsen issue and it was a nice shout-out to the way all those crazy old covers had dialogue.
It's basically a comedy device at this point and you usually see it on covers that are trying to be lighthearted.
>>83551145
>>83551298
Why is Rahne so tsunedere for Sam ?
>>83551357
Oh man, let me check.
>>83551364
Honestly, I'm mostly talking about this one Star Wars cover I saw once that looked kinda odd since the issue wasn't actually trying to be funny or anything.
>>83551357
167 gigs, and that's only the X-Men stuff.
>>83551430
Her dad is a nut job
That's all for today, more New Mutants tomorrow!
167... i have 20 and i think thats more than enough...
>>83551335
This scene is a very high score on Claremont Fetish Bingo.
reading bump
>>83548114
I could never get into FE. Instead I'm going back and dicking around in KoF '98UM and KoF 2002UM since they're both fun as fuck and KoF XIV (graphics aside) looks good.
>>83548619
my lord, what a perfect waifu Rahne is
>>83548790
so rahne always had greater strength in her werewolf form?
iirc elixir gave her superhuman strength (as in, bullets cant penetrate her skin) when healing her so that she would be able to give bith to her god-werewolf baby that later Big Guy killed.
messy story
>>83549149
>The wine is drugged!
>Awesome!
Oh Dani.I'd do the same thing.
>>83548680
Uh oh, somehow our cruise ship went off course.
>>83550104
I like the way they color Magma on this cover, a lot of the time she looks crappily done.
>>83547947
>DANI HELP
>AH'M STARTING TO ENJOY THIS!
>>83550072
She's got a pretty nice view of Dani's ass if the art is to be believed. Boy they really liked getting Dani half naked in New Mutants, huh?
>>83548310
Heh. Team America, what a blast from the past. One of the more obscure toy-based comics Marvel published back in the day.
It's a bit mind-boggling how big of a thing stunt motorcycle riding was back in the the 70s and 80s. Those old Evel Knievel comics ads were freaking everywhere.

>>83548929
I don't know why, but out of all the things Claremont introduced in the X-books in the 1980s, the idea that there's this colony from Ancient Rome in the middle of the Amazon jungle struck me as particularly weird.
>>83549230
Lucky for Sam and Bobby Nova Roma isn't a 1:1 copy of Rome's Culture. Or this rapey scene would get a hell of a lot more rapier.
>>83549581
I like to assume they just sort of...got lost.
>>83551600
After a lot of cutting back I only have 97 gigs of comics.
>>83550072
Wow, what a convenient time and manifestation of mutant power.
I know it's probably not cool to link to other storytimes in a different storytime, but I figured that the archivists in the Great X-Men Storytime, I'm doing the first appearance of Sabertooth over at >>83561776

>Purifers are right!
x-bump
>>83563164
HELL YEAH
>>83548441
>>83548490
>I fond a wifu, can I keep it?
Sam has a lot to learn about not kidnapping girls.
