Well, I'm pretty sure South Park introduced a lot of people to yaoi. Curious viewers, or those that decided they liked the art probably started typing in yaoi and shit and got directed to 4 chan. On that note, I will admit that many years back that that is how I (using a search engine for yaoi) stumbled across the 4chinz and never left.
