underwear. even if it's mostly off and doesn't cover anything.

does this guy's art creep anyone else the fuck out? i'm not sure what makes it creepy, considering it's well drawn and everything, but god it's fuckin gross.
>>2215012
I think it may be the proportions of the face, like, eyes are uncomfortably near, isn't creepy for me, but I dislike it, nothing personal, without face it's somewhat hot.
>>2196954
Nice dude!
>>2215888
yeah the face is definitely part of it, i can see it now that you pointed it out, but there's still more than that. even just the picture of the crotch weirds me out. glad to know it's not just me though

(original artist here)
Who woulda thought that I'd get actual critique here? All I can say is I appreciate it! Don't know if this is much better, but thanks!
>>2196033
what is this from?
>>2216212
that wasn't meant to be critique, i'd have phrased it a little more constructively if i'd guessed you'd be on here haha. that new one is definitely better, but it still looks a little off to me (i'm really not an art critic, tho. it's probably fine to 99% of people). i think it might be the fact that it's as well proportioned and drawn as stuff like blackmonkey, but in 3d (ish? i'm not sure how to describe it. the glare on the skin makes it stand out more) so it's moved into the uncanny valley for me. the way the light reflects off the skin makes it look a little bit rubbery to me, too, and that's probably another part of it.
also, thanks for being receptive to critique (even when it's not constructive) unlike a lot of artists, that's pretty cool of you. it must suck to hear some asshole (me) diss art you've worked hard on, so it's really good that you don't let it kill your enthusiasm. i'm not sure i'll ever really like your style, but not everything's for everyone - i'm sure a lot of other people love it.
sorry for writing such a huge block of text, i just didn't like thinking you might be discouraged because of something i said. you do you, anon.

(honestly I put my own stuff here on a lark since this thread wasn't going much of anywhere and I thought "what the hell, have some of my smut /y/")
To be honest, I don't even know if people like my art. My original stuff gets ignored unless I sex it up, and even if I draw fanart, it's often for fandoms that aren't there and they barely get any views or comments from that. And the ones that are slightly more well known don't get much. And even if I do get responses, it often from people I already know. Hell, I didn't even know what people were thinking of the pics I posted here until you spoke up!
And I welcome criticism. It makes me want to get better at my craft, even if it's just a hobby. I don't want to be stuck in a bubble of overly-positive "fans" who shut down any legit critique. I've heard horror stories of the whiny artists that throw tantrums and start drama if they aren't praised to high heavens or get one minor critique. I'd rather not be one of those people.
And no, you are not an asshole for dissing my art.
now to get back to why we're here. though this next pic is older before I got my refinements in.
>>2216567
personally, i rarely ever think to tell an artist when i like their art (shit thing to do, i know). i just download it if it's something i'll want to see again later and then move on. 90% of the artists i like probably don't even know they have a fan, there's only one or two i've gone out of my way to let them know how much i appreciated them. my guess is that there's a lot of other people out there like me, so even if you never hear from them people like your work. unfortunately i don't really have any helpful insight towards getting people like me to give feedback; i can't think of anything that would ever make me think a request for feedback applied to me.
>And no, you are not an asshole for dissing my art.
imo, hating on people from behind a shield of anonymity is an asshole thing to do. that isn't really what i intended to do, but it came out that way so what i meant was irrelevant. besides, there's a million other reasons i'm an asshole, as long as you're not offended by it i'm not bothered by one more haha.
ironically, whatever was bothering me about those other pictures isn't in the one you just posted. it looks perfectly good to me.
pic unrelated, just felt bad about spamming with text
