Yeah! As for it being off, besides it being Aoba's brother and so on, I think the reason it feels off could be that the voice doesn't match him anymore. He was much more ripped in Scrap, nice muscles and so on, but in r:c he looks very androgynous while retaining his deep voice. Doesn't fit too well, I think.
I was thinking though, since Tori's personality was said to be on a chip so they could transfer it into the motorcycle in Mink's route, whether it'd have been possible to get some sort of a chip with Ren's real personality on it too, make a robot based on ɑ (but without the Toue mind-control stuff) that resembles his form in Scrap and insert the personality there ...nevermind, this isn't making any sense. But yeah, I'm really upset about this.
