I would argue that point. I find the literal translations most interesting, specifically Ritsema/Karcher. However, Cleary's original and revised translations are often Tao oriented.

There are Daoist interpretations, but the core of the Yijing predates Daoism by quite some time. It's even older than yin and yang, though the word, "yin", does appear in the Zhouyi.
