This isn't really a big sp00py experience that was caused *directly* by /x/, but more or less indirectly. Someone was posting a creepypasta that took a lot of "inspiration" from A Shadow Over Innsmouth. I never saved it, but I recall the basics were about a guy who found out his ancestors in some cult or something.
It was decent, but the real spooks came when I decided to look into my own ancestry a little while after that. Can share what I found if anyone's interested.
