Are there any other tv shows or movies that people think exist but really don't (Or tv shows/movies which people remember seeing but can never track down)?
An example is a zombie film called "Dead End" which was supposedly made in 1985 but is apparently a hoax

Carpenter's film "Cigarette Burns" was -about- a mysterious film that may or may not have existed in the film's world ( see image ). I know that's not exactly what you asked for, but well, there it is anyway.

I remembered the film discussed in House of Leaves called (I recall) "The Navidson Records" as an actual movie due to getting so engrossed in the book. For about five minutes anyway.
