Yesterday right before I fell asleep I got a strong choking sensation. This is pretty common since I recover from anxiety and depression. When I open my eyes I see an large black butterfly on my wall. It stays for quite a long time moving around until it suddenly faded into thin air.
Any thoughts what it was / might mean if anything?
Was it a butterfly for ants?

Aside from a cryptic as shit reference to the butterfly effect, I have no clue.
In mexican culture a black butterfly signifies death.

Yeah maybe who knows, think the doc should've figured that out by now then but when I read about it I got alot of the symptoms I guess.. Altho the choking sensation is just when I go to bed so prolly more depression related.

Not sleep paralyzis, had it 20-30 times during my life so. I was fully movable etc. Got alot of experience from lucid dreaming and everything related.
