I originally thought that but crop-circle makers in the UK are usually the pagan/hippy/dope-smoking uni students on spring break.
In the Middle Ages, the star and crescent combination was not associated with Islam and appeared in Christian iconography.
My 6 year old made up a song about a 7 pointed star this morning and has been singing it all day.
