urbex / abandoned structure thread? (is this the proper board for this?)
where do you live, what are your favorite abandoned places, etc? do you watch any youtube channels dedicated to this stuff?
i live in northern NJ and i've been dying for cool spots to visit. pic related, an abandoned nursing home near me, unfortunately it's so saturated with graffiti and vandalism that it takes away from the creep factor

I live in Northern NJ too OP and my favorite place to explore is an abandoned insane asylum called Letchworth Village. It's located in Thiells, NY in the hamlet of Haverstraw. Super creepy and exciting to explore because it's actually illegal to be in there seeing as the state took control of it after it was shutdown so it's technically trespassing.

oh shit that looks cool. do you have any other spots that are closer?
The town where i live had an abandoned nursing home. Too bad it's demolished now. It was mostly a refuge for junkies, hobo's and edgy teenagers. Still pretty spooky at night.
