So I started check out this board every so often and everytime I come on I get scared, (I get scared very easily, so like a picture of something down the stairs scares me) but anyway, how do you guys not get spooked? Are you just so used to it? For me I get spooked because the things that happened might be real.

I get spooked but I can't stop looking for the spooks because spooky shit is always interesting to me, ya know? I need to know more, man. As a kid, I would look up scary shit about aliens even though I would have nightmares. Aliens were my biggest interest but my biggest fear too. I'll still have nightmares sometimes but I'm not terrified of them anymore. It's actually a lot harder to scare me now. The last time I got scared during a horror film, it was a quick scene I think. Can't even remember it well enough. Even still, every now and then I'll be scrolling /x/ at night, alone, and I'll have to stop if something really strikes that fear chord in me. Nothing on here, or in a movie, or in a game is going to spoop me because I've searched all three places looking for the spoopiest stuff I can find. I used to sneak my mom's horror movies when she was asleep and built up a fascination with horror, so since I was a kid until now I've spent my life desensitizing myself to horror.
On the other hand, I have severe social anxiety and even thinking about social spotlights, social pressure, or hostile confrontation makes my heart race and my body shake.
Its quite annoying actually.

I still get spooked by things here every once in a while, like from particularly creepy youtubes of ghost evidence, and in real life I can be spooked.
But the more common feeling from paranormal stuff is fascination and comfy. Just scrolling through the catalog seeing all the pictures and discussions about interesting things is the best, even if it's slow sometimes.
Things are actually interesting in the fringe world. I love conspiracy theories, cryptozoology, spirituality, ghost stuff, all of it. Normal things are okay, I like lots of other boards and interests but nothing compares to the paranormal.

Fear is not you. Do not let emotions control you. Say you study graphic design and you understand how people make spooky images it helps once you realize what you are fearful of can not hurt you because you are light there is nothing to fear.
