Welcome to /sum/, this is the thread for anything to do with summoning angels, demons, and spirits for love, money, knowledge and power.

Want to sell your soul? Want to howl the secret names in the dead of night? This is your thread.

We're putting together a guide for neophyte summoners now, showing you how to evoke my good friend Orobas on a budget - that should be enough to get you started.

Summoners, would-be summoners, and innocent victims, all are welcome as long as you're respectful and stay on-topic.

Sallos summoner here.

Part of my deal was to be a better person - to go back to being a "catch" worthy of the relationship that I want, basically - to start looking for another job, to lose that last 10 pounds, to start developing my hobbies and not just playing Civ all day, etc.

But true to form, I went out and had an unhealthy meal for lunch and got a stomachache like never before. It didn't feel like, uh, flatulence or anything. It just felt like I had swallowed a bowling ball. I tried going shopping for a journal but had to leave the store because I felt so uncomfortable. As soon as I got home, like as soon as I crossed the threshold to my apartment, it just disappeared.

>>
>>17851636
No, but it's only been a half hour or so. I may take another break from work and go to an occult store.
>>
Curious about this. I used to do /div/ stuff but got bored of it. How does this work? Is there some kind of downside/tradeoff to it.
>>
>>17851654
A lot of demons are fucking assholes, like Prince Sitri.

http://www.esotericarchives.com/solomon/lemegeton.htm
>>
>>17851648
I'm jealous, there's no occult stores nearby me
>>
>>17851606
Can you offer a pepe to a demon?
>>
>>17851590
Good. Use this as an impetus for change. In my experience the demon acts as a multiplier for your own efforts - putting in just a little extra will get you greater returns. Make sure you print out the seal of Sallos and keep it on your person (I keep my seals in my wallet's hidden pouch for now). If nothing else the seal will act as a reminder of your pact.

>>17851594
>>17851620
I'm also available via email at [email protected]. A kick-ass guide to getting started is best way to make /sum/ better.

>>17851654
You draw a circle and a triangle on the ground, do ritual work, and then command the spirit. Some people can see spirits, but I can only hear and feel them. Most beginners can't perceive them at all, so it's best to assume the spirit is there. Once you issue your demands, you show the spirit the Hexagram of Solomon and tell it to go get busy. If everything goes well, you will have sudden and noticeable change in your life. I used to think it was just self-hypnosis and confirmation bias but as I've continued my practice it's become increasingly effective for me.
>>
>>17851746
And there's no drawbacks to this? Dealing with spirits sounds like it should have some kind of tradeoff. I'll have a look around though, sounds like it could be my next /x/ thing until I get my /div/ itch back.
>>
>>17851766
> And there's no drawbacks to this?

Assuming it works, you will feel tired for the next 24 hours. The more powerful the spirit or the more spirits you summon, the worse it will be. I made myself sick once with this so don't get cocky.

You may also want to offer the spirit something in exchange for helping you, but that's between you and the spirit. I find that offering them praise and fame (by posting their seal here) is typically enough for small favors.

> I'll have a look around though, sounds like it could be my next /x/ thing until I get my /div/ itch back.

Glad to hear it. I'm available here and by email if you need help, want to report results, or just tell me I'm crazy.
>>
>>17851804
can you ask the demon in question about their likeness for their offerings? I remember you saying that Orobas liked rum and watching movies, did he told you that or you just can research it somewhere?
>>
>>17851812
Orobas was sitting around in my head for a few days after I got possessed, so I got to hear his opinions on everything. Offerings are not part of the traditional ritual, so there's not much written about them, but they're a good idea anyway in my experience. When in doubt, offer something you really like or consider valuable.
>>
>>17851822
have you been possessed by any other demon besides Orobas? did it help anything or change anything?
>>
I wish to summon a spirit, but I do not have anything I really feel like pestering a demon about, which spirit should a Neophyte summon to get a pack of gum?
>>
>>17851822
Are you in communion with any of the spirits now?

Sallos summoner here.

After going to occult store (actually a rock store, but they carry tarot cards and stuff so I was hoping they'd have a physical copy of the goetia but no such luck....i now really regret selling my small collection years ago), I stopped by gas station to get something to eat while I work. Stomach immediately started hurting when I entered the store, but subsided when I picked out a protein bar and a bottle of water.

Jeez, Sallos.
>>
>>17851887
Nope, but Orobas dropped by during breakfast to gush about me summoning Andromalius to get my phone back. He's becoming increasingly proud of me as I improve both my tools and my methods. Really makes me wonder what his end-game is.
>>

>>
>>17851935
to add on to this, is there such a thing as loyalty/comradely between a demon and summoner. What I mean is will a demon just drop you like a hat the moment it's not getting something out of the relationship. would it ever do anything for you out of "the goodness of its heart" after a long enough time of knowing it?
>>
Why summon only demons? Doesn't the greater and lesser key deal with dieties not condemned to darkness?
>>
>>17851403
I have basically no knowledge of summoning or the occult, but summoning Marquis Phoenix seems like it would be well worth whatever effort it requires. Can someone teach me about summoning, like what skills it takes, what materials it requires, and what risks are involved? Also, any specifics to note when summoning Marquis Phoenix? Basically, general advice mostly, with some specifics for Phoenix
>>
>>17851804

>>
>>17852005

Well I'm no "summoner" but you can summon phoenix Jones via telephone.
>>
>>17851997
Demons are just what's most popular at the moment and for the most part it's pretty accessible.

There's also succubi/incubi, angels/elementals of enochian, Iwa and all that stuff from voodoo.

The Enochian system gets kind of complicated though and no one takes voodoo or succubi seriously.

I'm trying to get started on enochian as quickly as possible, or at the very least, through the Aethers before going back to goetia.

Once I find out what's up with it I'll post about it in here. It will likely take a few weeks though.
>>
>>17851905
BTW I'm planning to come back to Goetia at some point despite it all.

What do you think? Bad idea?

>>
>>17852039
That's your call to make. I'm glad you're still alive, frankly. You'd have a lot of work to do, I imagine.
>>
>>17852042
What I mean by that is most people (that I've met anyway) will take an interest in voodoo or succubi but then they don't actually do much to pursue that interest and then drop it as quickly as they picked it up.
>>
>>17852039
What happened to you?

Yeah. I figure as much. I'm already working on some things though anyway. Hopefully within the next couple of months I'll be able to start contributing to this thread.
After that's all done I'll go back to it and see where I stand with them.

I'm glad things are going so well for you in goetia btw.
>>
>>17852054
It's a really long story, and I'd rather not post about it on here.
Nothing really bad has happened though. I'm just kind of skating on thin ice.
>>
thanks to everyone who's working on that pastebin :) good work and good luck
>>
Why is /sum/ dead? I hope it's because everyone is off successfully summoning and documenting their results!

AMS, any progress on the phone recovery?
How is the pastebin coming? I can't wait to read it!
Any novices with stories to share?

My dreams keep getting more and more vivid as I investigate this topic...
>>
>>17852801
I'm actually working on the pastebin, sorry it's taking so long!

Tell us about your dreams, how've they gotten more vivid?
>>
>>17852831
For starters, they don't completely dissipate on waking - I'm able to recall themes, details, colors, emotions... Like most people, I'm used to my dreams being inaccessible shortly after waking.

And the colors... They have gone from 240 to 4K. The palette has gotten very vivid. This, along with visceral emotional content, have given them an impact which, to me, has been noteworthy.

I know that a dream is just a dream and it's probably just my subconscious reacting to the topic of the occult (to which I am very, very new), but the dreams definitely accelerate my interest.

Also, there is a long history of /sum/moning and the posters here don't seem like the usual roleplaying jokers infesting this board.

I'm captivated.

i just picked up steve wilson's chaos ritual a few weeks ago, anybody wanna talk about their experiences with it/chaos magic in general?

I've found some success in expanding my mind beyond the one movie screen format that most people exist in through the days, sitting high above their preconscious without interacting with their selves and the world in the most intimate and effective process.

anybody got any stories they wanna share, or know any organizations where the occult is practiced in a way that is not just the westernized penchant for spoopy cloaks and banging staffs?

Yep. Remember guys, if you see nothing or get no results, post about it anyway. We do want to know. It's not a reflection on you - at best we can help you troubleshoot your ritual, at worst we can laugh and say at least we tried.

>>17853014
> well, I'm looking for a place where I can make a proper temple, and other logistic stuff. I rather not spook my grandma

Yeah, it sucks not to have a dedicated space. I'm lucky in that my circle is fairly portable so I can summon wherever, but it's still a bitch and a half to move all the furniture around. If my life keeps going on this track I'm thinking a nice country house, a big room on the second floor, and thick, heavily locked door.

>>17853024
>any must reads for a beginner occultist?

I really like "Modern Magick", by Donald Michael Kraig. It's very easy and step by step. I was following exactly that course when I aspired to join my local Golden Dawn org.

I love summoning outdoors. I did my first evocation in a secluded grove near my Dad's country place, and I feel like the emotions that place evoked in me at night helped me finally get over the tipping point.

> I'm bored and want to get int some good magick. How do I get myself opened up to non-fallen angels?

The Enochian magick of John Dee is where you want to go. Watch out, I've heard that it's wickedly complicated (you may have to learn a whole new language) and that the angels it summons are not always willing to indulge petty mortal desires. Once I'm confident in my Goetic workings I'm planning to branch out into Enochian stuff myself.

Technically speaking I'm aware that The Catholic Church has patron saints, who will proper prayer can give you crap. For instance, if you need a house sold, buy a statue of Saint Joseph. Bury it upside down facing the house. Make sure to keep the statue in a place of honor in your new house. These holy powers aren't as quick as a evil Demon, but will not cause damnation, unless massive over use of abilities in those Bible books they don't sell anymore. Good luck with that Ritual Light Stuff

Detail that is hard to see happening in the average brain. Hmm haven't been watching this group for very long, still have much observation to do. Sallos summoner here...

Wrote out 2 pages of notes on ritual and after effects - I'm still really tired, though that may just be from working so much today. I'm about to go to bed.

I'm planning on working on occult matters everyday from now on - meditation, reading, tarot, maybe runes. When I feel up to it, or when I get antsy again, I'll try another summoning. Maybe Sallos again if he doesn't meet my deadline or maybe Furcas or Bune (I'm going to be looking for a new job soon - part of my promise to Sallos).

....okay.
everyone on /x/ probably knows about the /pol/ tradition of calling on KEK to manifest through doubles, to /div/ through doubles, etc.
the avatar is of this old egyptian chaos deity called KEK represented by a frog or toad. so sprinkle in the pepe memes, etc.
needless to say KEK gets a lot of attention.
but, as AMS said, KEK is low on juice. basically forgotten at this point.

I feel like a crazy person for even connecting these dots.

There are certainly more active fellows about using frog avatars...

That's as far as I'll push it. You know what I'm getting at.

There was that german plane crash with all the weird 4chan meme coincidences... and with the cross-pollination of boards and all...

Hey AMS, how much power does a ritual of this magnitude produce?

I am a know-nothing so I'm not sure I'm fit to serve as an example. Right now I mostly got chaos books downloaded (Liber Null, Prometheus Rising, and Hands On Chaos Magic plus a few others), some Tarot books (21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card, 78 Degrees of Wisdom), plus that Duquette book that AMS has linked to.

I don't want to say I'll read X book everyday until it's done, because I may need to go slowly to build my skills, so I'll probably just read the opening chapters of a lot different books first until I've feel like I've gotten a grasp on whatever they're teaching.

I don't think demons are in your mind, but you can create them. Look up "Egregores" - artificial spirits designed for a specific task.

>>17854172
Sure. Orobas told me that many demons are former pagan gods and goddesses. At one time, they had cults that fed them with ritual offerings that channeled the passion of the worshippers up their god. After the Christianization of Rome, the mystery cults either got stomped out or fell apart, and the old gods starved. The ones we call "demons" survived on the margins of the spiritual world, feeding where they could on ambient passion and the offerings made to them by sorcerers and cults in exchange for favors. Now, with the decline of christianity, the rise of the occult and neo-pagan movements, they're starting to limber up and gain power once more. I don't know how much of this is true but it seems to be consistent with a lot of my study.

To be clear, Kek (or Kuk, /pol/ I'm sure would enjoy knowing) was all but forgotten ever during the Roman Empire. If the same metaphysics apply to Kek as do to the Goetic demons, Kek would have long ago become powerless, cold and dim like a dead star.

Man, you're better off asking someone more experienced. Based on my current understanding, the ritualistic shitposting might be able to start bringing him back a little, especially if it channel's /pol/'s seething hate to Kek.

Hello

I learned the enn for Orobas and mumbled it a few times whenever I was down in the dumps; when the air felt kind of weird/heavy I thanked him, asked a question, and politely told him he was free to go
No circles, etc. because I didn't know how. The mumbling was sometimes done at home and sometimes in public like a park.

Most recently I've been getting inspirations for making decisions e.g. the rain's going to die in a bit so I should just start walking, don't cross at this light but wait for the next one, etc. and it feels like a detached voice/thought.

Things should be ok right?

Also, if anyone's summoning any entities, I'd appreciate if you can ask about this one:
When I was a toddler in Asia, apparently this relative on one side of the family (who was into the traditional occult/offerings/etc.) told me to read this thing from a scroll out loud. Later that night I was crying of seeing "a laughing bug on the wall" that apparently fit the description of a "classic devil image" according to my relative, and was taken to a church for blessings/etc. I was just wondering what the entity that I met was, as I have no means of contact with that part of the family.

Thank you!
>>
>>17854960
> No circles, etc. because I didn't know how.

The circle and triangle are safeguards. I'm glad you chose Orobas ant not someone less helpful.

>

Does it feel like it comes from a different part of your head than your other thoughts? Like, higher or farther back somehow? When Orobas communicates with me, that's what it feels like.

> Things should be ok right?

Sounds like they already are - just use the circle and triangle next time.

"The Thirty-fourth Spirit is Furfur. He is a Great and Mighty Earl, appearing in the form of an hart with a fiery tail. He never speaks the truth unless he is compelled, or brought up within the Triangle, Being therein, he will take upon himself the form of an angel. Being bidden, he speaks with a hoarse voice. Also he will wittingly urge love between man and woman. He can raise lightnings and thunders, blasts, and great tempestuous storms. And he gives true answers both of things secret and Divine, if commanded. He rules over 26 Legions of Spirits."

Duke Bune is working out for me. Just be aware he's two-faced. Well, three-faced but you get the idea.

> Could the demon help me win the lottery? (this is a serious question btw.)

I find it unlikely. I imagine there's a ten-demon pileup because of all the people summoning to win the lottery. You're better off asking for a cushy job and accolades at work. That way you can still be rich and still look down on people for not working hard enough.

> What kind of offerings do you believe they would demand for this?

Assuming they would or could do it, you'd get a couple years to enjoy your newfound wealth and then the demon would want to wear you like Buffalo Bill to enjoy the rest of your life for you. I was possessed for all of ten minutes and it's one of the most terrifying experiences I've ever had.
