I have been trying to astral project for about two years now, with only moderate consistency. Usually I only get to a certain vibration stage but cant complete it. Recently during an attempt, I began feeling a sensation of being lifted out of my body, which lasted for a few seconds, and I definitely knew something was different, but nothing came of it.

How do you go from this initial "lifting out of your body" to actually completing projection? I only get different sensations, but visually nothing ever happens.

What am I missing? Any similar difficulties?

Not everything on the astral plane is visual.

tell yourself nothing bad will come from the vibrational stage.
imagine pulling yourself up a astral rope with your astral arms.
when you get to a vibration try "rolling" out of your body.
or start by moving one part of your astral body at a time.

First point here is important, fear is the biggest obstacle, fear of the unknown.
