Any Halloween prop makers?
Starting in a week or two, I start my building for the home haunts.
Anyone else make props here?
>>
>>17830578
No one? None of you make anything scary or appropriate to the theme of this board, at all?
>>
I do. But have no pic of it
>>
>>17830632
You got a cell phone? Take a pic, send it to yourself in email
>>
>not even the end of June

You're getting started a bit too early there, anon. Come back in August/September.
>>
>>17831036
It takes months to build all the props. I always start in June/July.
>>
>>17831086
Fair enough, but you probably won't get many responses.

Do you have some old pics of your stuff?
>>
The people on this board would rather ask for a spell that makes a prop appear than to actually build something themselves...

Do you have more to share? The only "prop" I made for halloween was a bloody sack with eyeholes and a stitched up mouth to scare children. Sadly I don't have this thing around to show.

I work here - www.halloweenhorrornights.com/
You can see mine and others past have done there and other places online.
I am just one of a couple of dozen of prop builders and designers.

That sounds like a fun job. I am (skeleton) jelly.

Have a bump.

Not really a prop maker per se, but I'm definitely into the Halloween Arts. I mostly do masks. Paper mache. Did an aluminum one in a casting years ago, but I suck ass and never finished it. As you can see, he's still missing a tooth.

Would you prefer more threads about how to summon demons and whether there's evidence behind chemtrails?
>>
>>17837525
No matter what you post to /x/ someone will complain about it. If you're on topic, like OP is, then just ignore it.

Nice thread OP, carry on if you have more.

I have a little. The original form for the oni mask was sculpted with clay first, but as far as making an actual ceramic piece, not yet. I do hope to some time in the future. I also hope to carve one from wood as well.

Pictured is the original sculpt.
>>
>>17837678
Just be careful when you're wearing that mask that you don't get attacked by a ninja
>>
>>17834914
>>17837678
Oh shit, it wasn't until you posted the original that I understood what you meant by "missing a tooth."

I thought he was smoking a tiny cigar lol
>>
>>17837678
That's awesome!
I thought about carving wood ones first out of my local trees, but waiting 16-18 months for the wood to dry is a long time.
>>
Years ago I made a sweet gallows pole in the front yard out of old 4X4 posts and hung a dummy from it. The dummy was just clothes stuffed with straw and a mask on the head. Also added a hat so you couldnt see all the straw poking out. I wish I still had a pic of it at night. During the day it looked ok, but at night it really was pretty creepy seeing someone hanging and swaying in the breeze like that.
A good decoration to put in your window or something is a realistic mask or maybe a Michael Myers mask. Looks spooky just placed in the corner of the window like hes looking at everyone.
I like to do minimalist/realistic things instead of decking the whole house out in lights/skeletons/bats and cobwebs. It makes it even more creepy when you live in a neighborhood of boring faggots that dont put any decorations up. Not even a pumpkin.
Like make a simple dummy, tie him to a tree not directly facing a street in a sitting position. People will double take and get spooked if thats the only decoration and thats what makes Halloween so great and unique to me. Its completley ok to do something super creepy and be a maniac.

>waiting 16-18 months for the wood to dry is a long time

Why do you have to wait that long?
>>
>>17837713
Well that's too bad because waiting 16-18 years for the wood to grow back after you steal it doesn't bother the trees at all
>>
>>17837755
Something to do with the moisture levels. it expands and contracts, if it keeps doing that it might splinter or make unsightly cracks in the wood

How do you figure they dont? People commonly take care of trees and plant them on their property you retarded nigger. Go away.
