So I was on a walk in a forest near my neighbourhood. About 100 meters from border of the forest I have noticed strange fur around 20 feet from the path. It was white.
**I live in western Poland - no white furred animals.**
It was mostly on 2 trees and a lot of on the ground. It was formed in little balls, like if some creature pulled the fur from its body again and again. The fur was covering those trees up to about 1.75 meters high (~6 feet). Most of it had little white balls that looked like human scurf. It looks like the creature was scratching itself with the trees, then pulling out the fur by itself.
Took some photos, will post all of them showing the trees with white hair and a close up of it. Would be glad if you guys helped me define where does this fur come from. Notice that in my area there are mostly boars, rarely happens that I see some deers.

Literally no dogs, cats, or rabbits with white fur? No deer, which have white underbellies? No chance of albino animals? Seriously?

Dogs cats rabbits 1.5 meter high?

where in western poland?

Doesn't look like anything was killed

A big enough dog could rear up and rub itself against a tree. Or another animal could have killed something and shook/scattered the fur all over the place.

can't tell from the photos, but this could be cotton
you should try and burn some
cotton doesn't smell like burnt hair while fur most certainly does
>>17822101
I can tell by the fabric of it that it isn't cotton, it's like very soft and sticky human hair.

This, he should burn some to see if it has animal or vegetal origin.

Okay that is odd. It's deffinately hair and not mold or fungus right?
Thermal iso cotton, somebody's been dumping trash again
Look for seeds in it. A few kinds of trees and bushes put out big cottony/hairlike seed masses in huge quantities that make a mess out of everything. They dump down in big bunches once or twice a year.

From the pictures my first guess is some sort of fungus or insect "silk". It doesn't really look like hair from the photos.
Probably an indigenous bear with albinism.

this is interesting.
is it a natural growing mold, moss, fungus or lichen of some kind?
does it look like it could actually be growing there?

No way that it is man-made or a product of trees. It's got a smell - an animal smell, you know like a tallow smell. It's 100% coming from some kind of animal (creature?)
Looks like you've got a skin Walker on your hands friendo
these are insides of typha you retard
someone just smashed one against the tree
Saskatch

It is a common strategy to use wool or fur on young trees, because deers who would otherwise eat the shoots doesn't like the smell of sheep. Those trees doesn't look very young, though…maybe it was blown away. Or it is trash.

it doesn't have any seeds, it's rather fur or fibers
polar bears confirmed

>it doesn't have any seeds, it's rather fur or fibers
Correct.

Some one groomed their white dog, put hair in bag. Said bag was blown by the wind, hair comes out of bag. Bag is blown in a bush not in site.

Maybe someone was in the woods with their dog and brush the dog there, and so the fur flew around?
I mean it looks like the way my garden looks after I brushed my dog and it has a lot of undercoat.
