Cassini Probe recorded a disruption in one of the rings of Saturn

http://www.nasa.gov/image-feature/jpl/pia20485/not-guilty

Ayyy lmaos?
>>
Nah. The material in rings isn't so uniform/"smooth" as we might think based on traditional photos. It was probably just a chunk of more recently acquired material that hasn't been ground yet.
>>
The beings on Saturn are similar to what we know as ravens here on our Earth.

>More likely, it was created by the interaction of a small object embedded in the ring itself and material in the core of the ring. Scientists sometimes refer to these features as "jets."

>Because these bodies are small and embedded in the F ring itself, they are difficult to spot at the resolution available to NASA's Cassini spacecraft. Instead, their handiwork reveals their presence, and scientists use the Cassini spacecraft to study these stealthy sculptors of the F ring.

This. I find it extremely amusing that people with no imagination and/or knowledge about what they're linking to, are trying to set up and take part in discussion about it. The utter lack of knowledge and understanding reflects itself in the first thing that comes to mind of such a person - "ayy lmaos?" - they think aliens is the first and most likely, possible answer.

Are replies like >>17813430 and the whole "I can see ghost" "It´s a conspiracy believe me" threads on the catalog an inside joke or the whole board went to shit and now is just a place to roleplay as a ghost medium?
When did /x/ jump the shark?

I dont believe the rings are made of tiny rocks of ice. That´s NASA bullshit. I believe the rings are some form of energetic manifestation that controls the reality we perceive. There is a even bigger ring around Saturn, a giant infra red ring. The purpose of these rings is beyond our comprehension.

Almost took this bait.

Why? What evidence of this do you have? Which peer reviewed astronomical journal(s) have you published your findings in?

early 2012. it was already bad, but the whole mayan 2012 shit was really hitting the fan then, and the 12 year olds all got their own computers and would shitpost all the time.

So why can't we see Saturn from earth? T. Retard
>>
>>17816229
Because we can?
>>
>>17815940
Somehow youtube videos becoming a relatively popular thing fit into that equation too.

Umm, Saturn is very easy to see with the naked eye from Earth.
>>
>>17812448
isn't this a spin off of Madoka?
>>
>>17817508
No, the only spin off was the OVA. The description makes it sound a lot like one, though.

Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and at least a couple known exoplanets have rings too.

What now genius?

>>17817527
Yeah, the name sounded familiar, I read a similar manga.

Astronomy. Ancient History. The Saturn myth , maybe it´s not just geological.
