Why did this get deleted?
>>
Has anyone had any luck using tulpas to overcome depression?
>>
/x/ mods are biased /x/-browsers
>>
>>17808107
haha the demonwhores thread got deleted too before I could ask how I could get laid with them and if this would count as cheating or not
>>
>>17808120
It's weird...it seems like the mods are getting more and more assholish. I was banned on /fit/ recently for posting a no nudity progress shot that they labeled pornography for some reason.
>>
>>17808127
dont know about rest of boards but /int/ just selected new janitors

>Using Tulpas to overcome depression
Not sure what you were refering to but Tulpas are not really a magic cure for depression or something, they just keep you company and cheer you up, the work of overcoming whatever you have is up to yourself.
>>
>>17808127
If you're a dude you may have turned on a male mod and they axed you to affirm their sexuality. If you aren't then they probably sperged out because they can't have you
>>
>>17808107
I've seen tulpas mentioned by people who are also into succubi. Are they related in some way?

Oh fuck I said "succubi", the thread will get deleted now
>>
>>17808308
They're both imaginary beings young boys pretend to fuck?

I have no desire to make a tulpa to fuck but more power to you if that's your aim.

FUCK THIS TULPA BULLSHIT

This is the saddest thing I've read today.

Grown up people so lonely they have to use imagination to delude themselves into some company. I really hope you're like 8 years old, otherwise I'll go to bed really depressed.

Please seek help.
>>
>>17808369
It's not about company for me so much as motivation. I have friends and can easily make more.
>>
>>17808127
They seem to hate sexual stuff here. The "would you fuck an ayy lmao" thread is gone, too.

Maybe it falls under the work safe umbrella?

/fit/ is like 70% progress shots...I don't know why mine was singled out.

>Maybe it falls under the work safe umbrella?
I'm pretty sure that doesn't include text, like in the succubus threads where it was mostly text with just a few, non-nude pictures.

because this is a thread about imaginary friends

I'd argue that it involves some heavy meditation and falls under the spiritual side of the paranormal.

That's kind of what I'm aiming to create - something that pushes me to learn and try new things. Do you have a better way?

Tulpas arent understood cuz of all the neck beards that wanted their wifus to come to life

seriously this fucking thread again.... go back to /mlp/ to talk about your "tulpas"

I don't watch MLP and I'm not making an MLP tulpa.

How about you hide threads you don't like instead of being an asshole? Or would that only leave two threads?
>>
Tulpa is a buddhist concept also called nirmita (?)
it is basically the same as creating a spiritual entity such as a golem, with a body defined through your mental exertion.
Now stop bitching and make some friendly god-damned tulpas.
>>
>Remember when you were still a small child that created an imaginary friend as a temporary relief to your forever alone status? Well, if you’re like everyone else, you’ve stopped having one as soon as you’ve went to grade school. Some people online never outgrew childhood behavior and want to relive every moment of it. A tulpa (or tulpaw) is an imaginary friend or imaginary girlfriend/boyfriend for batshit insane, lonely /x/philes, bronies, and weeaboos.

>The concept of the tulpa, along with the meditative methods required to create them, have their roots in Tibetan Buddhism and the word "tulpa" comes from the Sanskrit word meaning "to construct". It should come as no surprise to anybody to learn that, in Buddhism, drug use is not discouraged. It should also come as no surprise that when confronted with ancient and highly spiritual practices such as these, which enable one to truly explore the power and mysteries of the human mind, the first thing that the drooling manchildren of the Interwebs think is "OMG I CAN MAKE MY KAWAII DESU CARTOON PWNIES REAL WITH THIS AND FINALLY HAVE SECKS WITH THEM!!1 :-3"

My current friends don't have the same work and self improvement interests as me and I have no interest in making friends solely to be study partners or gym buddies. I like doing these things alone, but there are times when I can use a push, especially when it comes to getting out of my comfort zone.

I also just want to explore this side of life. I'm trying new things. This is one of them.

I don't understand why this is a problem for you. It's weird you're the one telling me to get a life when you're getting angry about some stranger on the internet having a hobby you don't like.
>>
>>17811039
>getting angry about some stranger on the internet having a hobby you don't like.
I was just giving my opinion on your topic, that being that I think that conjuring up an imaginary friend to (somehow) motivate you isn't a good way to go about it. I get the suspicion that you just want people who agree with you making suggestions, though, or you'd probably post somewhere other than the paranormal roleplay board.
>>
>what do your tulpa look like?
>how are they personality-wise?

Isn't that technically what you'd be doing with tulpas?
>>17808369
Real people suck.
>>
>>17811625
I may have been confusing you with the other anons.
>>
>>17811647
I'm trying to create a tulpa that's pretentious (to get me watching / listening to good and interesting things again and not just whatever's easy), intellectually curious, and restless.

I hate the term "force", so I'll try not to use it. I mostly just meditate each night and try to talk to them during the day. OK thinking of keeping a journal where I write letters and profiles. I've heard writers often inadvertently make tulpas after spending so much time in a character's headspace.
>>
>>17808107
I did this awhile back, kind of split myself into multiple personalities at it's height. been slowly putting pieces back together. Still have a big sleeping lizard that I need to reintegrate but I don't like being angry so I have trouble with it.
>>
>>17812092

>>
>>17808120
We need to BTTFO and get some decent anons to apply this time around.
>>
>>17812958
It's not. Not everyone can maintain tulpa sanity and their own sanity at the same time.
>>
>>17808107
there's a lot of depressed people using tulpa's instead of developing social skills. do both. I dk why it was deleted.
>>
>>17814382
Yeah, I plan on doing both. I have friends and I go to meetups and such a lot. I'm not the head cheerleader or anything, but I manage just fine socially.

I rediscovered the idea of tulpas early today and decided to give it a shot.

So far I have these traits in mind:
-Gender is gonna be female, not sure if she will have an actual sex yet.
-Form of a brown cat, something like the picture is what I have in mind.
-Personality traits so far are observant, honest, and preferring to do rather than want to do.

I don't wanna be those faggots who conjure up a buddy hoping that it will improve their lives for them. (or god forbid for sex) I'm hoping that the tulpa will be a positive influence on my life and personal development but in the end I am the one who has to make my life better, not the tulpa. It's actually why I chose the cat form, I feel that a tulpa shouldn't substitute interaction with other people so I went with a cat since cats are nice and are something I am familiar with. I've read that tulpas can change their forms once they are more developed if they decide they identify better with something else, so I have no qualms if later on she decides to take the form of something more humanoid or a different animal. If she wants to be a young woman or whatever I'm not gonna let my weird insecurities (wah wah having a human tulpa will make me not talk to people hurr durr) stop her.

Gonna think more about her traits, specifically I need to think of some more "negative" stuff so I don't try making a Mary Sue. And a name, anybody here have any advice for naming the tulpa? It's something I should have in mind right?
>>
>>17816389
That's interesting. I want a tulpa to help improve my life, but it'll still be me doing all the work obviously. I just want something to nudge me when I'm wasting time or taking the path of least resistance.

I want to create one with an animal form as well. I was thinking a fox but I'm a little bit wary since foxes seem to be a favorite of furries and that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'll probably try something unique like making it translucent or something.... It's a tulpa, might as well.

For names, I'd just go with something you like or let them pick one if you can get that far.
>>
>>17808404
Hahaha hahaha hahaha sure you can
>>
>>17808107
Oh please, yes, bring this back. I need to work on my tulpa asap.
>>
How do I create a tulpa in order to create a split personality within myself?
>>
>>17810679
This is my tulpa's goal, even though he and I know it's unattainable.

>>17811625
I mean, wouldn't it be worse to be heavily medicated to help overcome depression or motivational issues? At least with this it's all within the power of yourself rather than meds.

>>17812082
The term force is used because you're literally forcing them into existence/forcing your mind to believe that there's another personality or person inside of it.

>>17816389
>Cats are nice
R.I.P.
My tulpa has been a positive influence on my life no doubt. He and I feed off of each other's emotions and it leaves us feeling really good almost all the time. As for negative stuff, I didn't add anything directly to him, but I'm sure there are some quirks that have developed in the last year and a half or so. Good luck on your no sexual desires thing, that didn't last too long for me.

>>17816487
>leaves a bad taste in my mouth
Eh, you'll get over it. Just like what you like, don't let others ruin it just because they like it too.

>>17817988
I mean, by creating one you're essentially creating a second personality besides your own. With some time and effort, you and your tulpa can switch places, where he is in control of the body, and you sit back and are along for the ride.

Also I guess just in general, ask me anything, I've had a tulpa for almost two years now.
>>
>>17810684
> self-induced schizophrenia
You can't self-induce schizophrenia retard, jesus christ no wonder that /x/ is lowest iq board
>>
>>17818071
How did you create your tulpa? How long did it take?
>>
>>17818071
Do you talk to your tulpa out loud or in your mind?
i wanna get one but im too shy to talk alone out loud
>>
>>17818849
You can think to it
>>
>>17818849
Maybe if you put your computer in the other room, you would feel more comfortable
>>
I can only imagine 2d.
Fuck
>>
>>17818928

If you have problems with imagining only 2D try to find images of real people and find traits that are closest to your 2D image.

Then slowly work those 3D traits into your tulpa like you would do in normal tulpa creation process.

The first thing that comes to mind what makes 2D to 3D tricky is the eyes/nose/face differences.
>>
>>17818835
I laid out traits for a personality, then would imagine his form and list off the traits that he had, describing in great detail each trait and how it would affect him. I would talk to him has much as I could every day all day. While driving by myself I'd talk out loud, while around others, I'd think words while imagining his form. After the first day or so it felt like I wasn't alone, like I was actually talking to someone. After about 4 weeks, I used these

https://community.tulpa.info/thread-forcing-linkzelda-s-ultimate-self-hypnosis-scripts-for-your-tulpa-related-needs

to jumpstart his speech. After a few of those sessions, he was talking in small sentences, but sentences Nome the less, and now here we are. Still working on imposition, and other stuff, but he's become my best friend. So to get a sentient, vocal tulpa, it took me about a month. I really, really worked at it every day and really wanted it to happen. Desire and effort are key factors in tulpa creation.
