"The three legs represent the points of the island" doesn't really sit with me desu.
See, hundred and hundreds of years ago, the Moors conquered Sicily. Back then Sicilians all had 3 legs and a head. Then the Moors came in. They did so much fucking, they changed the whole bloodline forever. And that's how three legs and a head became two legs, two arms, and a body.
