Make sure that if it is a building you are exploring, it is not too old. Old abandoned structures may collapse on you.

yeah the spot ive picked is stable, the local council cleaned it up a bit a few years back, so its unlikely that anything will collapse
Take a flashlight.
If you go on a group it's safer, but it's most possible that someone decides to do something idiotic.
Take a lot pictures.
Be nice to the hobos.
Pack sandwiches.

Yeah I'm planning on all those things. I'm also vetoing the packing of stuff like spray paint and permos so cops can't claim we're vandals if we get busted.
Be white.
Take a camera. If caught you were taking pictures.
Don't dress in all black or carry anything stupid suspicious like a crowbar, spray paint, etc.
Dress safe. Act safe.
