What would happen if a giant animal or creature (like Godzilla) died somewhere? Would it kill the land or fertilize it? How long would it take?

probably fertilise it, as the bacteria that break it down turn it into compost, and since there is so much material it would create a massive fertile area, but it would take ages

Depends where it is from. Unknown bacteria that it carries could be worldwide biohazard when it croaks and starts to rot.
