Coming from a deep sea diver here. I have t been to terribly deep, deepest dive so far is 285, but I can say it's a very dark and cold place, but also very peaceful. Now my dad on the other hand, he use to dive for the navy. He was stationed at the submarine development group. He did dived as deep as 800ft, and he had to go through some secret clearance to do some of his work. He said he's seen some shit down their that he can not tell me about until he's on his death bed. Not sure if he's full of shit or what, but still pretty spooky
