I live in a fairly isolated area. What are my best bets if I want to fight/hunt/defend self from/scare off fleshgaits, greys and demons?
Things I have considered

-holy water
-chinese talismans
-really bright lights
-chainsaws
-firecrackers
let's say guns are hard to come by in my country (but they are not entirely out of the question), are there anythings that are effective against these things and are fairly easy to make/obtain?
Homemade pump action scattergat. You'll need metalworking tools but it's not terribly difficult work. Head over to /k/ and get your hands on the Do/k/ument. Use a VPN if you live in a socialist police state. Put whatever magic placebo you want in a 12 gauge magnum shell alongside some double or triple ought buckshot of a metal of your choosing. Lead is normal but if you've got silver bullet budget then it's really no business of mine. If your demons wear IIIA or better bulletproof vests then you'll want tungsten. Should your spooks have a carapace of similar consistency to ceramic armor plate then you'll want a lead slug. Doesn't leave room for any magic powders or what the fuck ever but you can dip them in holy water or something.

Think of it like this; every religious belief have people who claim their prayers drove off evil spirits, demons, monsters, w/e. Most of those religions, though, are mutually exclusive. How can ALL of their methods work, when by their own dogmas, the others are considered fakes? What's the common connection?
Belief. Belief that their charm or symbol will protect them. Belief that their prayers will drive evil away. Belief that they can, through some method or another, be it christian, gnostic, taoist, buddhist, zoroastrianism, or whatever it is they believe in, be able to defend themselves against entities.
Any weapon you choose to wield will be able to hurt them, as long as you convince yourself fully that it can.
As cheesy as it sounds, the simple way to go about it is to believe in yourself.

Pack a supersoaker with saltwater in the rare occasion you torch something you didn't mean to.
Physical weapons won't help you. Draw some protective symbols around your home - various hexagrams, pentagrams etc. can help you. Best thing you can do really is build mental barriers, if your mind is protected then they can't do a lot. Look into esoteric meditation methods.

From personal experience. Supernatural beings are bullies. They will only go after you if you're scared of them, but once you fight back they will run away. The weapon of choice doesn't matter. You could use your bare hands. (Imagine yourself holding a grey's head with both hands and sinking those big black eyes in with your thumbs) all that matters is that you're not afraid. This is true whether you think they're real or psychological.
Chainsaws are a terrible idea for a weapon. The only people that consider them are people that have never worked with them.

if you want to do it authentically you need specific materials. a dagger made of different layers of different metals and sharpened so each layer would contact the target on slice or stab would be the swiss army knife of this sort of thing
so you need copper, bronze, silver , gold, iron layers and have a blood groove that you have salt that has been crystallized into a slab stuck on
if you can spend the money you would also have a jade layer on the outside of course
none of the layers have to be thick they simply need to exist so electroplating is a option if you want to do it on a budget. youtube diy vids exist for how to electroplate

What you want is the recipe for 'Uncle Icky's Holy Inferno'. A recipe that has been passed down to me from my crazy paranoid uncle who got it from his crazy paranoid uncle.

It doesn't really list amounts. But I would assume to use equal parts petrol and motor oil with a dash of holy water. Enough to make it holy but not enough to dilute the fuel.
Powder recipe doesn't really matter, but I'd suggest using equal parts of everything so it'd be just as good against anything you throw it at. The instructions state to use fistful of powder, so about half a cup to a beer bottle.
You could probably also add dish soap to make it stick to your target easier and create lots of smoke.
