My favorite representation of the devil is a cross between nyarlathotep and peter pan.
In hindu belief, evil is seen as "maya", which means illusion. It's interesting because most religions have representations of evil such as the devil and satan, but "Maya" is a word which means "illusion", and it is not a person or a representation of evil as much as it is the delusion to draw yourself away from God towards earthly goods. I don't know much about hinduism, but I find it interesting that the greatest evil in the universe is believed to be found within man himself.

In my religion the highest manifestation of god is his most wrathful and powerful. He created it to cut off one of the heads of a rival god that claimed to be the ultimate god and he proved him wrong.
