'and tend to sit outside my den' sort of makes sense, but sounds like it was written by a fox or badger
'and watch the horizon', well unless you're expecting an attack from that way sounds little better than watching paint dry.

I get it, english isn't my first or second language. It's a bit hard to grasp for me. And not the just horizon, the whole pasture and the sky that is usually lit up by the stars. I should have been more clear on that, but I thought just the horizon was a good enough description, considering the main part I wanted to talk about was weird technology hovering around in the sky

Idk about the cows really. I think the owner, who lives in the farmhouse, takes them to their own place at night or something. I never see the cows out grazing at night, just in the day.
