Why you should paint the runes red for them to work? why not blue?

Also, which is the difference between runecarvings and chaosmagic "sigils"?

personally I find the younger futhark very attractive; the fact that there are only 16 runes makes them have a much distinct spot each, many meanings merge in a single rune
