I am looking into making my own mala for meditation I was wondering if there was anyone here that be able to help me with deciding the gemstones to use because I am fairly new to this.

Why would you make your mala out of stone? I mean I suppose you can make a mala out of anything. Or if needed you can simply count to 108 on your knuckles. But generally sacred seeds, wood, or bone are the materials used.
