I don't know where else to take this, and I'm pretty sure somebody here could figure out what this is. This is a true story, and the picture hasn't been tampered with. OC, I promise.

Some Anons I know (Who? Fuuuuuuuuck YOU!) recently went on a field trip to some caverns in their area. One of them sent me a photo (pic related) that one of their cameras captured in a chamber known as the, "Powderkeg," or some shit. The chamber is named thusly because confederate soldiers kept their munitions in there during the civil war. It's the Longhorn Caverns in Texas.

The chamber is hardly excavated, but it's preserved. The people whom I guess are in charge of this place decided to dig into the Powderkeg and hollow it out- the plan was to convert the Powderkeg into a new tourist attraction, thereby potentially increasing revenue.

While the team hauled the excess dirt from a recent mud slide out of the Powderkeg they uncovered a mummified confederate soldier. Supposedly, he was found around the spot where that pillar of light is. The camera's flash is also supposed to have been off. It didn't show up on the photo until AFTER the picture was taken, and it didn't show on any of the others taken after that. Assuming that all of these conditions are true, is there a good explanation for this? Or is it possibly otherworldly contact?

Do you have any theories, Anon?

Honestly it just looks like a weird camera glare from lighting in the cave

That's what I think, but the photographer says that the torches on the walls couldn't have accounted for it. Maybe reflection from water?

it's a water droplet or something falling
>>
It's something falling infront of the camera. The slow shutter speed makes it look long. Also obvious flash.
>>
I'm almost positive the flash went off, look how bright the light is on the closest rocks and then the falloff into darkness. when the flash fires, the camera compensates by making the rest of the image darker, usually with shutter speed (and iso on a digital camera). if this is a film photo, that could be a light leak. all that said, it's definitely strange OP.
