What the fuck are these rings dudes, never seen this shit before in my life.

Was at a friends party and I looked up and saw this gigantic ring perfectly centered around the moon. Photo's taken with an iphone 6 so quality is pretty garbage.
Can anyone who isn't a lizard explain this?

It's a moon version of a sun dog. Just ice crystals in the air refracting light

Optical sky phenomenon is fantastic. Brockenspecters happen frequently on a mountain near my house. There was an older story of a similar phenomena that happened in South America where everyone thought it was an act of God and was considered a mass hallucination
