Did or could something like this actually happen?
>>
It did happen but nothing bad happened, they just neurologically shut down one by one and when they woke up they were pretty OK. The worst that not sleeping can do is put you in a coma.
>>

people usually enter coma after 5 days without any sleep

so, no

100% genuine just like the woman with 3 tits and real unicorns.

Lack of sleep can fuck you up... But not that creepily or interestingly. It simply damages brain, causing slowness in mental functions, insomnia, lack of concentration etc. If prolonged a lot, can lead to hallucinations and shit but not any wild creepypasta content, more like discomfort and disorientation.

I stayed awake for more than 100 hours once and it was fucking awful. Once I finally fell asleep I slept for more than 24 hours and I had strong headaches for more than a week.
>>
Stayed up for 4 days straight, did not turn into a russian pastaghoul.

Did you breath experimental gasses while you stayed awake?
>>

I didn't watch it, but I assume it is a video based on creepypasta about an experiment where they keep people awake, and the subjects go all Event Horizon (removing skin, eyes, etc) and basically say:
>We are your true selves, and you sleep to keep us from waking up, muwahahahaha
>>
140 hours is my max, a few months ago. I had no hallucinations (that I know of) and it was a crazy ride, tiredness then periods of extreme alertness, followed by more tired. By the time I fell asleep I felt like I could go for another couple of hours until I was in the next "trough" but I was genuinely beginning to worry about my heart.

Anyway yeah, it wasn't something I'd recommend. The only reason I did it was because I found myself having to be awake for about 70 hours so thought why not try and see how far it can go.
